About me
Hello, I’m Rizwan – Counsellor & Psychotherapist
I offer a safe, confidential space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported.
Life can feel overwhelming at times — especially when you’re carrying things on your own. Whether you’re feeling stuck, anxious, low, or unsure where to turn, you don’t have to face it alone. I’m here to walk alongside you.
As a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist, I work using a person-centred approach. This means our work together is shaped by you — your experiences, your pace, and your needs. You are the expert in your own life, and my role is to support you as you explore, heal, and grow, without judgement or pressure.
I believe deeply in the power of counselling, not only through my professional training, but through my own personal experience. Speaking with a counsellor gave me the space to talk about things I couldn’t easily share with friends or family. It allowed me to be fully myself, and it had a profound impact on my life. That experience is what inspired me to support others in the same way.
I also remember how confusing and daunting it can feel to take that first step. Not knowing what support is available or how to access it can be a barrier in itself. That’s why I aim to make the process as simple and stress-free as possible, starting with a free 30-minute consultation. This gives us a chance to talk about what you’re looking for and whether I’m the right fit for you.
Whether this is your first time considering therapy or you’ve had counselling before, I offer a calm, supportive, and confidential space where you can feel safe to talk and be yourself.
Let’s start with a conversation.
You’re welcome to call, message, email, or WhatsApp — whatever feels easiest for you.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
