Marie Maynard Morgan, Integrative Psychotherapist & Supervisor (MA, MBACP)
First Session is Free
During the Coronavirus (COVID-19) lockdown, I will be providing everyone with concessionary sessions after your free session. Please do contact me for further information. As a professional and experienced On-Line, Telephone and Face to Face Counsellor and Supervisor, I work with short and long-term sessions.
You can easily download the best online app to use Skype, Zoom or VSee.
I work to achieve positive choice and change in a very different way to most therapists.
Together we will embrace a depth of work and challenging processes, each individual client and therapist you will feel empowered, gain insight into every individual particular need including physical, emotional, mental, holistic health at play, work and home especially sleep and diet.
This is never an easy path, but it is achievable as we combine attentive, detailed listening with self-awareness, intense ‘HOMEWORK’ processing and to help my clients to identify and make significant empowering changes.
I am recognised as an accomplished Integrative Psychotherapist, Counsellor and Supervisor working with Person Centred, (CBT) Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist, Psychodynamic and Analytical including Gestalt and Humanistic modalities.
My approach continues to develop and adapt supported by up to date research from WHO, The Lancet and Stirling.
Everyone faces life challenges whether you are a successful actor dealing with a confidence crisis, someone battling to cope with work or home life, a student stressing about exams, or experiencing too much anxiety, stress, over thinking, developing unhelpful behaviour patterns or too little happiness in your life.
I will support each and every client with absolute confidentiality and non-judgmental respect. I will support you to reach your goals and potential by exploring, make sense of and understand whatever is troubling you. Focussing on identifying triggers, wounds, issues and processing with insight. You will begin to feel liberated as you develop techniques to express your feelings and emotions in a safe and positive framework. You will be able to work within your limitations, to focus on your needs, strengthen your independence, putting healthy, positive boundaries in place especially with relationships.
With over 30 years’ experience working with clients aged from 16 and elder clients from all walks of life. I specialise in offering insights, process, solutions and self-help with individuals who have difficulties with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and stress, as well as addictions and other conditions listed below. I also treat couples who may be experiencing communication difficulties in their relationship.
You will feel the growth between sessions as you experiment with a curiosity, developing awareness, gaining assertiveness, towards becoming your own therapist with excellent results rather than spending years in therapy.
I share my professional experience as a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapeutic Counsellor bringing a complete mental and physical (Holistic, Well-Being and Solution) focus to help you to feel the positive benefits of setting your own goals, homework, experience positive choice taking control, hope and happiness.
I will help you to achieve positive changes, to gain the confidence and skills to cope effectively with life’s challenges as they arise, both now and in the future.
I bring a wealth of experience to gently challenge and help you to work through stress, depression, anxiety, feeling stuck, overthinking or just need to talk things through to make sense and move on. I provide a confidential, safe and anonymous space where you can feel very relaxed, heard, supported and safe to express and explore whatever is on your mind. It is very easy to book a session with me to explore ways to make positive choices and changes towards living a much happier and healthier life.

I work with couples and individuals in short- or long-term sessions. I also set work in between sessions to enable you to feel much more empowered, to process changes quickly becoming far more independent of therapy by developing your own skills, techniques and strategies.
I worked for the NHS during which I undertook training and awareness in both physical and mental health settings. This enabled me to gain in-depth experience of working with the full range of psychological and psychiatric conditions out-patient settings, as well as experience of physical conditions whilst working in a variety of medical settings such as neurology, rheumatology and physical well-being.
I will support you for as long or as short as you feel you need; through anything you struggle with. If you feel unhappy, unfulfilled, not reaching your full potential, sad, depressed, stressed or anxious and feel its time to talk things through. I am always here for you every step of the way to explore your thoughts, feelings and emotions, or try to make sense of things.
I will help you to express and process any past or present challenging experiences and behaviour. I will help you to unpack whatever is on your mind, to gain a deeper understanding towards improving focus on your needs, to create healthy boundaries, develop self-awareness and grow in confidence towards your chosen goals.

I will listen carefully, help you to unravel and make sense of any confusing or overwhelming emotions, feelings, thoughts and behaviour.
I will help you identify the triggers from your past, which impact and influence your present. For instance, procrastination, comfort eating, anxiety, depression, stress, abuse, addiction, sleep, gender, sexuality, culture, feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or life becomes meaningless.
I can help you find yourself if you feel lost or troubled, from toxic relationships that have been overwhelming, domineering, manipulative, abusive or controlling, sexually, financially or emotionally.
I will help you find positive ways to identify your needs, manage feelings, emotions and behaviour, develop strong boundaries and skills to become your own therapist, feeling much more in control and happier.
I will help you to focus on your strengths, unconscious defences, patterns of reactions, you will experience much more purpose in life, feel able to move forward and flourish.
I will help you alleviate difficulties with depression, anxiety, stress, life crisis, trauma, eating disorders, self-harm and relationship issues. If you are at a point in your life where you are motivated to seek change, are brave enough to articulate this with another, I am here to help you.
Psychotherapy is not about quick fixes, it's about growth, change and a willingness to make a real commitment to yourself.
"I believe that each of us holds the key to our own happiness, but sometimes we just need someone to help us open the door."
Homework is an important part of experiencing growth outside of therapy sessions; together we can process and gain a deeper understanding of thoughts and behaviours through journal keeping, making sense through dream analysis, and establishing independence through tasks and assignments.
The tools and skills I provide help clients to become their own therapist. Clients make significant healthy choices, positive changes and experience feeling assertive, feel grounded and confident as they gain respect especially from significant others.
Clients experience that they can make their own choice, changes and experience real growth, by making sense of their past, beginning to live in the present and planning a real future.
I will help you to focus on recognising your capabilities in areas such as creativity, personal growth and choice. I am reliable, consistent and always here for your session, but I’m also flexible should you need to rearrange. (More information below)

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

I know the importance of helping you to make sense of things, focus on your thoughts and reactions, explore challenges and issues, set up healthy boundaries. I will make time to listen to you, to show you ways to help yourself. I will always help you to gain a deeper understanding of your life, to help you to explore your needs, to set your own goals, help you to make sense of your life, towards making positive healthy changes.
As a professional Psychotherapist, Counsellor and Supervisor, I will share my knowledge and experience with you, to encourage you to explore and grow with every aspect of your needs.
I will help you to explore and develop your own intuition, interpretation, to challenge your expectations, assumptions, your memories, dreams and any issues along the way past or present.
I work with empathy, and help you to challenge and identify your unconscious emerging defences but in a very caring, understanding and non-judgmental safe space. I will help you to see and understand yourself at such a deep level.
If you are experiencing any form of stress, physical, mental or emotional challenges, any fears, inability to cope, sudden changes, experience negative thinking, over analytical thinking, obsessional behaviours, have no concept of healthy boundaries which affect your life, and you just need to talk to someone, I am here to listen, to hold you through difficult moments and to reflect with insight and continuous support.
We can work together to explore any concerns for example if you feel or behave differently, feel confused, forgetful, overreact, panic, anxious, uncomfortable, disturbed or lack of sleep, allergies, dietary changes, physical pains, fears, gender challenges, sexuality, pressure, sudden duress which can challenge your resilience, or affect your decision making.
We can explore ways to help you to understand your feelings or behaviour, lifestyle choices, actions, sudden loneliness, emptiness, sadness, crying, hurt, no energy, over sleepy, tired, pain, aches, challenges, trouble coping, feel unhappy, crazy, mad, lost, undervalued, frightened, unable to cope, overwhelmed, lack confidence, feel insecure, unable to think clearly.
We can focus on unexplainable struggles with you, relationships, family, friends, colleagues, work, and social situations, changing events or environments.
Whatever your concerns are we can begin to work together and safely work out how you would prefer to manage your life.
I provide non-judgmental and safe support, through these times, which can make a huge difference. I will help you to make sense of what is happening for you, and why.
I can help you to develop ways to cope and begin to understand and to accept how to move forwards.
Together we will begin to move towards change and to begin to regain control of your life.
Sometimes issues can seem confusing, adding to your fears even turn into chaos. Sometimes you may just need to talk or to explore experiences, unusual and unexplainable concerns. We could talk through your experiences, feelings, emotions, beliefs, fears and issues. We can explore what you experience, what you believe, and how you experience life which you may find at times is just too overwhelming.
We can explore ways for you to gain and experience a deeper understanding of yourself, and develop a more confident self-awareness and assertiveness. We will always explore ways to move forwards.
We will work together to slowly and comfortably bring a deeper level of acceptance of yourself and your needs, to support your ability to live safely and happily, and much more relaxed.
We will explore and support your life choices, establish how you would like to make decisions towards feeling complete and aware of living and feeling alive in the present, in the 'here and now'.
You will experience growth and confidence developing and nurturing your feelings and experience towards memories, which will help you to live feeling safe and happy to be in the present.
You will gain a sense of who you are and what your needs are, to focus on managing your life with healthy boundaries and relationships, positive thinking and behaviour, with assertive skills and consistency.
