Integrative Supervision

Supervision continues to be the most valuable support for my own professional development as a competent, confident, effective therapist and supervisor.  As an integrative supervisor, I work with a range of modalities and support you to develop your own unique way of working.

Supervision is essential way for me to help you as a counsellor to develop and sustain a professional practice. I will provide you with regular and ongoing opportunities to reflect in depth about all aspects of your practice.

I can offer weekly, fortnightly or monthly supervision, individual or group

I will support you to work as effectively, safely and ethically as possible.

As a Supervisor I will also help you to develop the personal resourcefulness required to undertake every part of client work.

Supervision is much more than case management. It includes working in depth on the relationship between yourself and your client in order to work towards desired outcomes and positive effects.

This requires adequate levels of privacy, safety and containment for you as my supervisee to undertake this work.

I offer a supportive environment where you can regularly discuss and reflect on your work openly without direction or judgment.

The focus of supervision may include client's material, you as the counsellor's process, theory, ethical issues and self-care.

My aim is to support you with your needs, to enable you to experience more awareness, confidence and ethical competence to provide clients with the best possible therapy as well as assisting and supporting your professional experiential development.

I appreciate many challenges and difficulties that can arise and what is needed to help you to explore, feel confident and competent. I will help you to develop embracing BACP ethical guidelines, to focus on client needs and separate from your needs, develop a heightened personal awareness, tune into parallel processing, explore differences in feelings and emotions and maintain strong boundaries.

I will always work with you to develop a trusting, professional, safe and explorative supervisory relationship, where you will experience a growth in your personal development and client competency. I will help you develop working confidently embracing your client work with a healthy curiosity, to focus on strong client relationships.

I will always support any vulnerabilities and struggles, difficult issues, that may come up through challenging working.

You will continue to experience relational, developmental growth as I help you to process and work through your own vulnerabilities. I will help you to feel authentic as you develop as a professional and competent counsellor and psychotherapist.

I will support you to process any personal or client-based challenges to enhance your awareness, presence and engage effectively with your own way of working professionally with your clients.

It is imperative that you find ways to take care of yourself, I will help you promote yourself and develop a client base and help you work to increase your client base.

I will help you to recognise, develop, reflect on and refine your professional therapeutic practice.

I will also help you to work through and tailor the theory and practice within our supervision sessions to help you establish your individual approach and needs.

I will develop a trusting, authentic relationship with you, to facilitate and encourage your personal development and confidence. As an Integrative Supervisor, I work with all modalities to help you to develop firm ethical contracting, manage, structure and organise clients at a highly professional level.

I will also help you to develop professional client boundaries, relational skills, help you to acknowledge challenging issues and focus on your developing needs.

Together, we will explore ways for you to work, bring strong structure, contracting, explore all transferences, implicit and explicit challenges, parallel processing, blind spots. You will begin to experience relational growth and confidence as you become a competent, practising therapist.

The advantage of being part of a supervision group is that supervisees can also learn from and support each other. There is much to be gained within a group. I will support your development as you build structured, boundaries, safe, trusting, empathic, non-judgmental therapeutic relationships with your clients, in private practice, group practice or placement.

I provide face to face or Online (VSee, Zoom & Skype) supervision sessions.

I do look forward to supporting you and your client work.
