About me

I am a compassionate and qualified integrative therapist working to support adults, adolescents, children and parents. As well as offering talking therapy, I am also able to work creatively to aid self-expression and greater emotional depth.

I take an attachment and trauma-informed approach to my work, and I can work with a diverse range of emotional and mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, neurodiversity, self-harm and more.

My focus throughout the therapeutic process is building a safe and trusting relationship where together we can build emotional resilience, develop self-awareness and growth as well as providing resources such as mindfulness and breath work for improved emotional well-being.

Sessions can be held in person from a confidential and calming setting in Kings Langley, or online nationally from ages 16+. I am a registered member of the BACP and work to their ethical framework, providing best practice in the interest of my client's needs.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a masters of education (MEd) in integrative counselling for children, young people and adults from Cambridge University. Previously I have gained a PgDip and PGCert in the same topic, and a BSc in Psycholgy.

Since qualifying 7 years ago I have mainly worked in educational settings as a therapeutic lead, supporting students, parents, school staff, and trainee therapists. More recently I have worked in London based local authorities supporting children, carers and practitioners in the foster care system and youth services. I now have a private practice where I work with a diverse range of client groups both online and in person.

I am committed to continual professional development and don't feel that I will ever stop learning. I have undertaken training ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), in Mindfulness practice in schools, and Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy levels 1&2 with the DDP Institute, and I attend regular clinical supervision.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
