About me

Hi there, I'm Leanne.

I am an integrative psychotherapist who will greet you with a warm, empathetic and non-judgemental environment.

I can walk alongside you to help you achieve a more peaceful mindset to help in your everyday life, working through your worries, trauma, anxiety, depression, overthinking, people pleasing or personal growth.

I have assisted many people with working through the root cause of their issues with talking therapy using tools that work for you; some clients have reported their overthinking being eradicated towards the end of therapy, which significantly reduces anxiety. Please see my testimonials at the bottom of this page or on Facebook Trusted Therapy

You should leave therapy with me, having the tools for life when life really does get in the way.

I know this is not an easy thing for you to do, to reach out for therapy. Changes and events in life can leave us feeling overwhelmed and uncertain of what's to come, which then leaves us feeling unsettled, anxious or with feelings of depression and worry, that feeling of dread.

I will be with you by offering this safe space for you to talk and help you process your thoughts and feelings to bring you to a calmer, more peaceful mindset.

I work remotely via Zoom or face-to-face in Newquay.

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

Testimonials:

"Leanne has been such an important part of my journey of self-discovery. After failing to connect with a series of counsellors, I instantly built a rapport with Leanne and, together, found myself again. Sometimes in life, all you need is for somebody to listen to you. For Leanne to validate (and then help me unpack!) my childhood trauma meant so much to someone who has always felt misunderstood and ignored. Therapy is founded on trust, and Leanne’s personable, non-judgemental approach made me look forward to our sessions every week. Coming out of the other side, I feel fully equipped to live life to its fullest and now have the tools to make it through those darker days. I honestly cannot recommend her enough!"

"I want to thank you very much for what you have done for me in the past year. You have helped me accept my past and taught me how to move forward, helped me massively with anxiety to the point where I very rarely experience it, and other present issues. My future has never looked so bright and I couldn't have done it without you"

"One of Leanne's greatest traits, in my opinion, is that she shows up however you need on the day. Sometimes, she will listen; other times, she seems to ask the exact question that I need to be asked and other times, she helps me explore the use of mental tools and ways of thinking outside of my usual scope. Leanne truly cares about her clients and creates a space of equanimity as opposed to "I'm the one with the problems, and you're the expert". She is empathetic, kind and gentle, a wonderful cocktail for a therapist.

"I've been working with Leanne for about a year, and it's been a life-changing experience. Leanne is a cheerful and supportive person, and I always look forward to our sessions with her. Leanne has helped me work through all sorts of issues such as grief, anger, anxiety, overthinking, and relationship issues. Every session with Leanne leaves me feeling more well-equipped to deal with the issues that appear both in my personal and professional life. My work with Leanne has even inspired my mom to start working with a therapist. The decision to start working on myself has been one of the greatest decisions I have ever made, and I can't wait to continue  growing!"

" Leanne is great to work with; she made me feel very at ease, and I was able to open up to her about my issues. I would highly recommend Leanne, and I am glad I got to work with her."

"I struggle with Trauma and symptoms of PTSD as well as fighting patterns of addictions. Leanne is a huge part of my wellness journey and support system. She is a very empathetic listener and will call you out on your behaviour in the most gentle way with perfect timing. She makes therapy as easy and effortless as possible."
