About me

Hi! I am Laura, a friendly and knowledgeable Cognitive Behavioural Therapist who is deeply passionate about helping clients navigate and find solutions to their challenges. Over the years, I've acquired extensive experience working with a spectrum of mental health difficulties, aiding adults, adolescents, and children.

Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of assisting numerous individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorders, trauma, specific phobias, and eating disorders. My journey into this field started with my British Psychological Society registered qualification in psychology and counselling. To obtain further knowledge and techniques to better serve my clients, I pursued my post-graduate diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy at the University of Derby.

My most recent roles have been within a high-intensity private psychology service, IAPT NHS services and a specialist service catering to those recovering from traumatic experiences. My professional journey has also taken me through primary and residential care settings. These include services related to drug and alcohol, eating disorder inpatient care, psychiatric intensive care units, and CAMHS secure units across the Midlands.

Each of these experiences has enriched my understanding and offered diverse perspectives, enabling me to offer the best care and support to those I work with.
