About me

I offer Couples Therapy in a non-judgemental, balanced, and compassionate way.
I also offer Therapy using Music and Imagery  for individual adults, which is an in-depth form of Music Therapy.

I draw on my extensive experience in both private practice and the NHS.

All sessions are online and I have done further professional training for working online. I am a professional member of the Association for Counselling and Therapy Online (ACTO)

Couples Therapy

I can support you with a whole range of issues that can arise in intimate relationship, such as:

  • Difficult communication
  • Infidelity
  • Sexual dissatisfaction
  • Problems around different values
  • Conflict about money
  • Challenges with family and children
  • Rekindling that loving spark
  • Stresses around Life Transitions
  • Enhancing intimacy, both emotional and physical

I help you explore issues in a way that feels safe and supportive.

With my sensitive, empathic listening, balanced awareness and professional experience, I help you both to find your way through challenges. The range of methods used are finely tuned to suit your particular needs and together with your willingness to engage with this work, openings can emerge for more harmonious, satisfying and loving relating.

I am fully qualified and experienced in couples therapy having had a busy private practice for over 8 years. My approach from my training is relational and so the focus is very much on what you are co-creating in your relationship; the dynamic between you. There is often a focus on communication as well as the particular subjects or issues you need to work through.

Often there is the need to focus on your present situation and at other times it can be helpful to look more in depth to find the root of an underlying issue. Unmet needs in childhood, in certain areas, can carry over into intimate relationship. Conscious understanding of your own and your partner’s issues helps transform deep seated relationship problems.

Is it for us?

I have experience of working with couples from a range of sexual orientations, ages, ethnic backgrounds, spiritual and religious beliefs and with disability. I have experience of working with couples where one or both people have ADHD and other forms of neurodiversity. I welcome working with all couples who are interested in working with me and together we see from an initial consultation, whether I am the right couples therapist for you.

I work with adults from the age of 18 through to older adults.

If you have any questions please feel free to call or e mail me. I offer a free introductory call and you can book a time for this from my profile. If you would like to see what it is like to work with me, we can arrange an initial session online. This would be at the reduced fee of £35 for 50 minutes. If you would then like to proceed with a series of sessions, these would be weekly at the same time. All sessions are online using zoom and adhere to strict privacy protocol.

I have done a further professional training to work online and I am a professional member of the Association for Counselling and Therapy Online (ACTO)

I also offer Music Therapy for individual adults from the age of 18 through to older adults. I work with Music and Imagery Therapy which is a depth-oriented music psychotherapy method using specially designed music programmes mostly with classical music.

If you are looking for a more creative approach to your personal development,  Therapy using Music and Imagery  will be of interest to you.

The powerful, yet gentle approach, involving listening to pre-recorded music in a deeply relaxed state evokes sensory images, emotions, insights and brings new awareness

I guide you in a relaxation process, which allows you to journey with the music in a deep and safe way. I support you in this relaxed state to access more of your inner self, so that deeper feelings, experiences, and intuitive knowledge can come into your full awareness and help you in your life.

You don't need to consider yourself musical to benefit, as we are all musical in that music affects everyone.

I offer sessions online using zoom with enhanced security and optimum audio settings for music.  Please feel free to give me a call or e mail me if you have any questions. I offer a reduced fee initial session for an hour where you can experience this method and see how it is to work with me and online. For more information, please see my website rezonance.co.uk

As well as being a qualified and experienced Couples Therapist I have over thirty years experience in working with adults using Music Psychotherapy.
My experience includes working with a diverse range of people of different ages, sexual orientations, ethnic backgrounds, religious and spiritual beliefs and with a range of disabilities. I have also worked in a variety of settings, including working abroad within different cultures. This wealth of experience I bring to my work.

I was the Lead Arts Psychotherapist for Specialist Services with a Mental Health NHS Trust for seven years and I have fifteen years’ experience working in the NHS as a Music Therapist. I have worked in private practice for thirteen years and have over seven years experience as a Couples Therapist with a busy practice.
