About me

Good therapy is built on the relationship between client and therapist.  I focus on listening to your story, your concerns and the self you want to share with me in order to offer you a non-judgemental and constructive space.  I feel passionately about offering therapy that is person-centred which means that I follow your lead whilst focusing on providing a nurturing environment for you to feel empathised with, understood and held as you work towards a deeper sense of yourself and place of healing.

I'm a Person Centred Therapist and Counsellor with varied experience working psychotherapeutically with adults and young people.

I am passionate about offering therapy that is integrative and individually tailored to each clients needs.

Integrative therapy is a psychotherapeutic approach that uses multiple different methods depending on my client's needs. I always offer a non-judgemental space, with empathy and unconditional positive regard.

Coming from a complex childhood of my own, I learned from a young age the power of a positive, nurturing relationship. Along the way, it was the people who provided safe spaces, and open listening that offered me the space I needed to grow and consider how I could fulfil my potential in life. I find offering talking therapy an enriching and fulfilling experience. I am constantly learning from my clients and colleagues and find the learning and development I gain from thinking about the human experience helps me to consider my own life and the lives of others with greater depth.

I have experience of working as a therapist in a variety of settings including,  anxiety, depression, relationship issues, anger, bereavement, community counselling, crisis counselling, business and work stress, the impacts of the menopause, domestic violence, one to one counselling and therapy, private practice, video and phone call therapy services.

I work with issues such as; fear, phobias, panic attacks, stress, self-esteem, bereavement, loss, change, relationship problems, sex related issues, cultural issues and or situations, work issues, identity, life changes, meaning, grief, health related issues, different types abuse, addictions and trauma

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. As a psychotherapist and counsellor, I am trained as an integrative therapist, which is a holistic approach that integrates different theories and techniques to create a personalised therapeutic experience for each client. My goal as a psychotherapist and counsellor is to provide a supportive environment where we will work towards creating a more meaningful and fulfilling life for you.

Here's a bit more about how I work:

Person-Centred

At the core of my approach is the person-centred model, which recognises the inherent worth and dignity of each individual. I prioritise building a strong therapeutic relationship with my clients based on trust, empathy, and genuine acceptance. I focus on creating a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. I believe that everyone has the ability to find their own solutions to their problems and my role is to facilitate that process.

Attachment Theory

Another important component of my work is attachment theory, which explores how our early relationships with caregivers shape our adult relationships and patterns of behaviour. By understanding your attachment style, we can work together to identify any patterns that may be holding you back or causing distress in your life.

Gestalt Style Therapy

Gestalt therapy is another tool I use in my practice by focusing on the here-and-now experience of my clients. This means paying attention to your bodily sensations, emotions, and thoughts in the present moment. By becoming more aware of your inner experience, you can gain insight into how you interact with the world around you and make positive changes.

I work with clients on a range of issues, including anxiety, depression,  anger, trauma,  work stress, PTSD, relationship difficulties, bereavement, and self-esteem. I use a range of evidence-based techniques and interventions to support my clients in achieving their goals or just hearing them and walking with their journey.

Overall, my approach is grounded in a deep respect for each client's unique experience and needs, and a commitment to supporting them in their journey towards greater self-awareness, growth, and wellbeing.

If you have any questions about my approach or would like to schedule an appointment, please don't hesitate to contact me. I look forward to hearing from you. You can see me in at my therapy practice in Harley Street, Central London, or Finchley, North London or online.
