About me

Hi, I’m Clare, if you are reading this and experiencing some feelings of anxiety enough for you to reach out for support. Many things can cause you feel anxious, lost, have low self esteem or depressed. Asking for help can feel really hard, especially if we have been told "stay strong" or "don't cry" but reaching out for support might be one of the best things you ever do.

Working together, I can help you to manage anxiety and understand what’s causing it so that you feel more like yourself and create lasting changes.

Areas of interest include neurodivergence, ADHD, trauma, ptsd and cptsd, relationship problems and grief and loss.

Maybe you are questioning if you have ADHD and would like to explore it further with or without a diagnosis.

Maybe you have "access to work" funding and they have advised you to seek out a therapist or coach.

Sessions can be face to face in my relaxing garden cabin in Melbourne, (free parking available) on-line video calls or on the phone.

Specialising in patterns of behaviour, anxiety, attachments, ADHD and trauma, I offer a warm and safe relationship where you can learn, grow and enable change.

I use the rewind technique to help with trauma which works in a similar way to EMDR and is highly successful. This works face to face and online.

I believe it's the therapeutic relationship that we create that makes the difference. I also believe that you know what's best for you, it's just that sometimes we get lost in the daily life pressures.

Here because I care.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
