About me

Hello, I’m Charlotte.

I understand that seeking support is a courageous step - I am here to provide a safe and welcoming space for you. Whether you are facing challenges, navigating through life transitions, or simply seeking growth I am ready to support you on your journey.

Having over sixteen years of experience in providing talking therapy for adults and young people, I feel that one-to-one therapy is the best solution for any individual to move through difficult times. I offer face-to-face, online or telephone sessions at North Wales Reflections, in Colwyn Bay.

I use an integrative style of counselling ensuring a tailor-made approach that is right for you. I believe that enabling you to find a deeper level of acceptance is key to beginning the changes you seek and to living a more fulfilled life. An integrative approach gives you access to varying therapeutic approaches, models, and tools that are research-based and effective.

I have worked in several Social Care (Stockport and Manchester), Secondary Schools (The Kingsway School and Creuddyn School) charities (Conwy Mind and the Proud Trust) and voluntary positions (Healthbox CIC Chester) developing high interpersonal skills with my clients.

I am fully qualified, insured and a Member of the BACP. I work with all ages and specialise in working with Children and Young People, Anxiety and Depression.

I provide a safe space, where clients can explore at their pace issues that are troubling them. The service is confidential, caring, compassionate and non-judgmental.

My role is to help you make sense of situations you may feel are affecting you and impacting your life. We take each session at your pace, exploring feelings and experiences that may have taken a bearing on your life. I am not here to tell you what I think you should do but will offer my unconditional listening and support.

Often, when we experience difficult times in our lives, we can lose sight of our own ‘inner voice’ and become influenced by our relationships, experiences and environment. I am here to help you become in touch again with yourself, to empower yourself and to understand your mind and body connection.

I also offer Mindfulness with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy elements, particularly useful for clients with anxiety and depression, enabling them to find therapeutic ways to empower the mind.

Please do get in touch for a free consultation, and to see whether our service suits your needs send me an email

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
