About me

Hello, I’m Angelika and I’m a passionate psychotherapist with experience in integrative and holistic approaches.

There are many reasons why someone may want to seek help.  Most of us experience challenges in life, struggles with relationships, parenting, work stress, anxiety, feeling low or just not feeling that we are enjoying life as we would like to, or we know we could.

I have spent the last few years working with clients who have presented with a wide range of mental health problems and experienced a variety of issues which include depression, anxiety, social anxiety, post-traumatic stress, general anxiety disorder, relationship problems, loss and bereavement, loneliness and isolation, life-changing events, family issues, work stress, addiction, confidence and self-esteem issues.

It can feel overwhelming to contact a therapist and consider that you may need support, however, it is never too late to ask for help as it shows a sign of strength in a person and a readiness for change.

I am offering both long-term and short-term therapy where we can engage in insightful ways to explore your feelings, thoughts and behaviours.  My aim is to build a trusting and non-judgmental relationship that helps you to develop self-awareness to work through and reflect on any issues you might be experiencing.

Through psychotherapy, I will support you to feel free to be yourself.  We can explore the way you are living, and the choices you are making and help you to face and work through any traumas, disappointments or frustrations in a safe and non-judgmental environment.

My way of working can be described as holistic, which means that I will look at you as a whole and consider your mental, physical and emotional needs.  This means that I utilise techniques and tools from different counselling modalities like Humanistic integrative psychotherapy, CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy), Psychodynamic as well as ACT and existential, to tailor an individual approach for you.

I am a registered member of the National Counselling Society and adhere to their ethical framework which underpins my work.  All my work is clinically supervised, and I am fully insured to practice.
