I am a therapeutic 'Talking Therapy' counsellor first, but I also work with Animal assisted Therapy and Sand tray Therapy. I am here to listen actively and hear what you say in order to focus on your needs. I am based in Sutton Bridge, and have availibility within 48 hours at the moment. My room is Covid safe and at a comfortable private home..  Access for clients with mobility limitations, is good, with just one small step. Water and tissues are provided for your comfort and sofas are wiped down between sessions.

I also work with the  assistance of therapy animals such as a therapy dog and cat. I sometimes work with a sand tray for a more practical physical style of therapy, which is a gentle, but often powerful means to work, in a representative manner using toys, bits and bobs and sand. Overall we could  work in a creative manner, based around an intergitive model, meaning; I combine many theortical styles to adapt therapy to suite the individual client.

I have been working in private practice for ten years now and work mainly with adults. I am happy to consider clients who are over 16. I have both men and women clients and I am experienced in facilitating change for a diverse client base, in cases concerned with diversity and issues common to all.

I'm looking forward to welcoming you to my practice and helping you to work towards achieveing a positive difference, in your life.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
