About me

I am a qualified and experienced therapist. I work with individuals, couples and families in a confidential and welcoming space. I have over 15 years of experience, which includes private practice and NHS work. I currently hold a senior post in CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Team) in the NHS as a Senior Mental Health Practitioner and Dramatherapist.

I work according to the needs of the people that come to see me. This is often through talking and sometimes using a couch to deepen reflection and thought. Also, I am qualified to use more creative methods too, using drama techniques, roles and imagery, which can work to unlock very fixed and unhelpful ways of thinking and being. We'll find a way that works for you.

I work in Hampstead, London on Wednesdays and in Chesham, Buckinghamshire on Saturdays. I can see you in person (usually the best option) or online. People I see for therapy tend to come once or twice per week and usually for long term durations, though I am open to working for a fixed period too.

In the first instance, we would meet for an initial consultation to discuss what brings you to therapy.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have 15 years of post-qualifying experience working as a therapist, with adults, children, families and groups.

I have an MA in Dramatherapy from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, London and I am a registered Arts Therapist with the HCPC (Health Care Professionals Council).

I am in my 4th year of training to be a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist, at The Philadelphia Association, London.

I have a BA (Hons) in Philosophy and Literature with The Open University.

Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
