About me

There are times when we experience life as being overwhelming and bewildering, leaving us feeling confused, lost, and alone.

Our counselling relationship will provide a safe, nurturing environment where you can explore and discover your life, develop more awareness and understanding of yourself, heal from past painful feelings and move toward being in harmony with who you truly are.

Throughout our counselling sessions, my priority will be to understand your thoughts, feelings and ideas, and to support your wellbeing. You will begin to develop more trust in yourself and be able to live more fully and freely in the present, bringing hope and stability to your future.

Experience

I will work with any issue that you currently face. I have particular experience in working with domestic abuse, childhood abuse, sexual abuse, loss, bereavement, relationships, parenting, divorce, separation and co parenting, work-related problems, and transition and change.

I have spent several years working with children and young people and I have a real passion for the emotional wellbeing and thriving development of this age group.

In private counselling, I work with young people from the age of 16.

In addition to private counselling practice, I currently am proud to work with WAVES Counselling Agency and Action for Children.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Further information

I have lived in Cornwall for several years, having been brought up in the South East of England. I spent many of my younger years working within corporate environments in London. Here, I worked alongside people from many different backgrounds deepening my value of everyone's diverse life experiences and unique perceptions of our world.

I provide in-person therapy in from my workspace at home in Penryn, Cornwall (at present  dependant on government COVID-19 guidelines) and video and phone counselling throughout the UK. In certain circumstances I am able to visit your home for the counselling. I am also able to offer outdoor or walk and talk therapy in certain areas of Cornwall.

Please give me call, send a text or email and we can book our first session together.
