About me

Hi, I’m Sonja, and welcome to my page!

Taking the first step toward therapy takes courage, and I’m proud of you for being here. Life can be complicated and challenging, leaving you feeling vulnerable, lonely, or even hopeless. But you don’t have to navigate it alone.

I’m here to provide a space where you can share your story openly, free from interruptions and judgment. Together, we can explore your thoughts and feelings, helping you find clarity in moments of confusion. When life feels overwhelming, and everything seems like a struggle, I am here to support you on your healing journey.

As an integrative therapist, I adapt my approach to fit your unique needs, helping you reach your goals. Much of my career has been dedicated to supporting individuals who’ve experienced early trauma. I also specialise in working with survivors of domestic abuse, narcissistic abuse, and those dealing with low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, identity issues, and attachment difficulties.

I treat everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I’m here to guide you toward a brighter, more peaceful future.

Training, qualifications & experience

I draw from various therapeutic approaches and tailor the therapy to suit your unique needs best.

I am passionate about empowering people to learn new skills that help them manage and overcome life’s challenges.

I hold a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and a Bachelor's degree focusing on Psychodynamics. I am currently completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
