About me

Are you fed up with overthinking every interaction and conversation you have? Perhaps you’ve had enough of constantly feeling like nothing you do is ‘good enough’. Are your unhelpful behaviours and habits holding you back in life or in your relationships?

Do you need a space to talk freely and openly about your thoughts, feelings and experiences whilst being truly heard in an emphatic and non judgemental way without anyone else’s opinions?

You may have pain or trauma in your past that you’ve not yet felt safe to or confident to explore and tackle. Or be looking to proactively set some goals. You might be feeling lost and not sure what you need to move forward.

Wherever you are right now, is where I want to meet you. I want to understand what support it is that you require to feel safe and supported to move forward. I want to work with you to understand who you are now but also who you want to be and what is getting in the way of you living your fullest, happiest and most authentic life.

I believe that focusing on what is within our control is the most empowering approach to making significant changes. If you feel ready to do the work to heal and thrive and to live a better, more fulfilling life, please reach out and arrange an initial consultation. I would love to hear from you and to see if I can support you on your journey.

My approach to Counselling is eclectic, this means I draw on a framework of several theoretical approaches. This enables me to use different techniques to suit individual needs as I don't believe that Counselling is 'one size fits all'.

I offer both long and short term therapy.

I offer a free initial 20 minute phone call where we can discuss what you are looking for in a therapist and how we could work together going forward.

My fee for pay as you go 50 minute sessions are:

Virtual-£45

For face to face-£50 (and is based on room availability).

I can offer a reduced fee for block bookings (daytime availability only):

4 Virtual sessions for £35 per session

4 Face to face sessions £45 per session

Block bookings are paid upfront then dates mutually agreed for the sessions.

I currently offer a hybrid of online and face to face sessions.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and studied an Integrative Approach.

I am committed to safe and ethical practise, undergoing regular supervision with a highly trained Therapist and attend regular training workshops and personal therapy.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
