About me

I am an Adult Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist and also a Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist with over 19 years of working for the NHS and private practice.

I specialise in a wide range of psychological and mental health problems across the age range. I am particularly skilled in difficulties including:

  • Trauma including past childhood experiences of neglect and abuse
  • Attachment difficulties
  • Loss and bereavement
  • Depression and anxiety
  • Relationship problems
  • Sexual problems
  • Personality difficulties
  • Work related stress
  • Eating disorders
  • Family problems including difficulties in parent- infant relationships
  • Behavioural problems in children including anger outbursts, sleeping and feeding difficulties, toileting problems.
  • Divorce and family break up
  • Childhood mental health difficulties including ADHD, ASD, ADD.

I am based in North London and I offer both online and face to face therapy.  As a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist, I create a safe environment for my clients and aim to build a trusting relationship with you over time.

I listen and try to understand your difficulties without judgement and I hope to get into the root cause of your issues. Expressing yourself through words in an accepting and non-judgemental atmosphere, you are empowered to understand yourself better, be more accepting and in control of the difficulties within you. I will explore with you your thoughts and feelings in order to understand the root cause of your vulnerabilities.

As therapy is a collaborative process, we will work together to make sense of confusing and troubling thoughts in order to gain insight and better understand yourself. The insight can lead to lessening of anxieties and low mood as well as improved functioning in relationships with others. You will be able to work through painful issues and life experiences and learn different and more functional ways of coping.

Children and young people can be helped to express themselves freely through an age-appropriate therapeutic techniques i.e. play, drama and drawing. I also offer consultation and short-term help to parents who are concerned about their children’s behaviour or emotional well-being.

Additionally, I can also offer the treatment in Polish language. My practice is based in North London in Wood Green only 8 min walk from the Piccadilly Line. I have a variety of morning and evening appointments to help clients fit in the therapy around their other commitments.

You can start by simply giving me a call and we will arrange to meet for an initial consultation. If after the first meeting you are happy to work together, we can then arrange regular appointments.

Training, qualifications & experience

I previously trained as a Clinical Psychologist and obtained Masters in Psychology at Jagiellonian University in Cracow. My interest in human development led me to study Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy at the Tavistock Clinic in London, one of the leading training institutions in the UK. I completed this specialist and intensive 5-year training in 2008. Since then, I have been working in various NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health settings, including schools. I then continued to be fascinated by the human growth and I trained in Adult Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy at the British Psychotherapy Foundation. I have been working in the NHS setting, the Cassel Hospital which specialises in treatment of personality disorders since 2012.My knowledge of psychological development throughout lifetime, from early childhood equips me to work at a greater depth with my adult patients and to better understand origins of their difficulties.
