About me

Important info: I am registered with BUPA, AXA, AVIVA and WPA

I am a Clinical Psychologist in Italy and Europe and a Counselling Psychologist in the UK. I am a very simple person who believes that the most important thing for us human beings is to be really human. Suffering is our burden but hope and resilience are our strengths and that's what I address: our capacity to get over the storm with the awareness that what was once so painful is now our most precious achievement. I have been practising in Italy, Mozambique and on the Isle of Man and I totally agree with Einstein when he said: race? human!

SPECIALITY: COUNSELLING, CBT AND FREUDIAN THERAPY.

RANGE OF WORK:

INDIVIDUAL THERAPY FOR ADULTS: After the assessment the techniques used for the therapy vary considerably depending on the patient resources, the symptoms, the available setting and the nature of the disorder.
COUPLE’S THERAPY: it is based on finding the right balance between autonomy and independence on one side and the will to share one’s own life with the partner on the other. The approach is based on the active listening.
ADOLESCENTS: Active Listening and Coaching which is a very fine balance.
CHILDREN: in this field I worked on two sides: one is to identify and support the so called “gifted” children who usually have lots of social problems and sometimes paradoxically also educational problems and the other side is approaching the clients playing with them with a tool called “Tedart” (created in joint-venture by two other authors and me) through which we can gather lots of precious information to share with the parents/caregivers/teachers/etc…
GROUP THERAPY FOR ADULTS: it is generally oriented to some specific purpose, e.g. losing weight (see the project “brain and body”), eating disorders, new pathological addictions, classic addictions, etc… and in these cases the techniques used depend on the needs of the patients.

Type of disorders I worked with: Depression, Anxiety, ADD, BPD, BIPOLAR DISORDER, ASD, PTSD, OCD, Eating Disorder, Sleep Disorder, Addictions (New and Classic).

Education:
Master’s degree in Clinical and Community Psychology at “La Sapienza” University in Rome.
Ph.D in Psychotherapy at the Rome School of Clinical Psychology, IMAGO.
Practitioner in NLP (Neurolinguistic Programming and Modern Hypnosis).
