About me

Hello, and a warm welcome to my profile. I am a BACP registered counsellor with a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling from the Institute of Psychosynthesis, London. I provide weekly 50-minute counselling sessions in-person and online from my practice based in Shoreditch most weekdays.

Building a relationship of trust is important for effective therapy. I offer a free initial online consultation to explore how we might work together. Please feel free to get in touch to discuss your situation and for my current availability.

About me and my therapy practice
I am an integrative counsellor working with adults at all stages of life in exploring their experiences and patterns, as well as their strengths and deeper sense of identity, so they can find more clarity, ease, authenticity, and fulfilment in life. I have worked with a diverse range of clients and issues, including those relating to anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, burnout, relationships, family issues, stress, anger, trauma, identity, OCD, eating disorders, bereavement, loneliness, sleep issues, existential crises, sexuality, purpose and spirituality.

I come to this work believing that we all deserve to live a life of meaning, purpose and joy. Being human can be a lot. It's easy to get trapped in ways of coping that limit us and cause us pain. Often when we become lost or stuck in life, we are on the verge of a breakthrough into a deeper sense of who we are. In therapy we facilitate this process by developing awareness of all parts of the human experience. In doing so with empathy and curiosity, our symptoms and blocks can be understood and worked with to provide gateways to a more authentic self and meaningful, soulful experience of life.

Whether you are facing specific struggles and hardships or feel a pull towards greater self-understanding and development, my dynamic toolbox helps me create a safe, relational and supportive space tailored to your individual needs. I bring respect and dedication to the therapy process, aiming to provide you with a warm, authentic relationship where you can express yourself freely, make discoveries and move towards your healing and growth.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am trained in Psychosynthesis, an approach known around the world as the ‘Psychology of Hope.’ It is an integrative and transpersonal approach that holds the unique context that we can awaken and reorient our lives through the challenges we face. It includes working with early childhood and past trauma, current issues in the here and now and the vast potential for growth, healing and change.

In sessions I draw on myriad tools and perspectives to work at depth and include your 'whole being' - body, feelings, mind and spirit. Rather than pathologise symptoms, we explore them as messengers of a deeper meaning trying to emerge in your life. While mainly talking, we may use creative techniques such as meditation, visualisations, dreamwork and drawing, all of which can help expand awareness and gain deeper insights and solutions beneath the habitual mind.

My approach aims to help you not only understand and relate to yourself, others and all your experiences more freely, but develop a toolkit of inner resources that will empower and support your growth long after your therapy ends. It is particularly well suited to those going through an intense and difficult time in their personal journey, as well as to those looking to access more of their potential and find deeper meaning and purpose in life.

How to start?
It's a good idea to book a free initial online consultation with me where we can explore what brings you to therapy and whether the process feels right for you. There is absolutely no obligation to continue. My priority is that you find the right therapist for you. If we agree to proceed, it is usual to commit to 6 weekly sessions after which we will decide if the work is to continue. Please contact me to arrange your free initial online consultation.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
