About me

Starting therapy can feel incredibly vulnerable, sometimes scary, sometimes hopeful, sometimes even liberating. It’s completely normal to have questions swirling in your mind, Will she understand me…? Am I too much…? Are my worries worth talking about…? These thoughts are part of the process, especially when you’re meeting someone new and sharing parts of yourself that may have felt heavy or hidden for a long time. Here, all of you is welcome, and every question you carry matters.

I offer a warm, confidential space where you can gently unpack whatever feels heavy or confusing right now. This space is yours, you set the pace and I’m alongside you with steady support, careful listening, and a trauma‑informed approach to ensure your safety and comfort.

There is no judgement here. I will listen with curiosity, seeing things from your perspective and honouring your lived experience. You may come in wanting to explore one thing and find yourself arriving somewhere completely different, this is very normal, as many parts of our lives are linked in ways we don’t always realise at first.

Together, we’ll explore what’s happening in your world and navigate your path toward greater clarity. Along the way, you may discover new ways of coping, deeper understanding of yourself and others, and a stronger sense of who you are. My aim is to support you in reconnecting with the wholeness you deserve.

You’re welcome to call, email, or text to arrange a free 30‑minute online consultation with no obligation. From there, we can decide together whether we feel like a good fit. (Please note that some email replies may land in your spam folder.)

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

My approach to therapy is integrative, using trauma‑informed, Neurodiversity affirming principles. I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches rather than fitting you into one fixed model. I work with the whole person, your nervous system, history, and way of processing, and adapt our work to what feels more supportive for you.  At different times this might include somatic regulation tools, attachment‑focused exploration, visual supports, or gentle, present‑moment grounding. The aim is always the same, to meet you where you are, honour your pace, and use whatever approaches best help you feel safe, understood, and steadily connected to yourself.

Further information

Working as a Somatic Trauma Psychotherapist, I have a big interest in how the body and the mind are connected, and what our nervous system has learnt through life. I feel the nervous system plays a extreme part in our make up and health, and I like to check how this is for you through our sessions. I may check in with how your body is feeling, and there may be reactions and changes on a physical level whilst you are sharing your story. I invite you to notice these, but only if you are feeling safe to do so.

We think how we feel often, but do we really feel the connection in our body?

This can be a huge messenger to you, and to me, about where you are in your journey.

I use the Tri-Phasic Trauma model ensuring a steady process of stabilisation, processing and integration, so healing feels manageable and at your pace, alongside Somatic practices, Psychoeducation, and polyvagal Theory. I believe that if we can understand how our body works and why, we can manage and notice patterns, to minimise, control and accept the uncomfortable parts of us. This is important for recovery, growth and awareness and especially reconnecting the mind with the body.

The main take away being, that our nervous system, and brain is doing what it should, trying to keep us safe, but sometimes it can get overwhelmed and needs a little help to feel safer again.

Curiosity, safety and compassion always.
