About me
My name is Kella-Marie, I’m a qualified Counsellor of 10 years with a background in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy, that combines different therapeutic techniques and theories to tailor treatment to your specific needs. I draw from various schools of thought, such as Cognitive-behavioural therapy, Psychodynamic therapy, Humanistic therapy and others, to provide a holistic and personalised approach to address your concerns. I aim to collaborate with you in exploring your thoughts, emotions and behaviours, and to empower you to find effective solutions and develop coping strategies, growth, self-awareness and overall wellbeing. I provide In-Person, telephone and video counselling.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am an experienced counsellor with a diverse range of training and qualifications, including an Advanced Diploma in Counselling Supervision (NCIP, Level 7) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling (AQA).
Over the years, I have worked in various capacities, offering support to individuals facing anxiety, depression, ADHD, low self-esteem, family issues, low self-confidence, and trauma. I have also guided people through significant life challenges such as bereavement, stress, and feeling sad.
As an accredited clinical supervisor, I create a structured, reflective space for those in helping professions to explore their strengths and areas for growth, while also supporting their mental health.
My work as a Senior Counsellor for an international health company allowed me to support people from all walks of life, providing crisis intervention, suicide prevention, and solution-focused counselling on a global scale.
In my private practice, I work with individuals from a variety of backgrounds, cultures, and identities, including the LGBTQIA community, offering both short-term and long-term counselling depending on their unique needs. My approach is integrative, compassionate, and tailored to each person’s journey.
I have also served as a council member for the Taunton Association for Psychotherapy and facilitated psychoeducation and group therapy sessions for Mind.
Through every role, my aim has been to create a safe and supportive environment where clients can reflect, grow, and heal.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
