Training, qualifications & experience

As I have mentioned I am an Integrative counsellor, this will allow us to create a unique therapeutic relationship to truly open up those thoughts and emotions to empower you to grow and understand where they came from.

I have experience working with anxiety, depression, low mood, bereavement, grief and loss, low confidence, anger management, self harm, family issues, addiction and so many more. Utilising my skills will allow you to have a better understanding of yourself and awareness of what causes these issues for you.

I continue to participate in continuous professional development and training to create the best practice I offer. I am also a member of the BACP and hold a DBS certificate.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Further information

My main responsibility it to ensure you the client feels safe, secure and heard. Providing the right environment for you, to allow you to say all of those things you may have bottled up, or not even been aware where and why you feel the way you do. I have the right setting for you I offer an online service that can fit in and around busy lives no travel requirements, easy access via, Zoom, Facetime, Skype and more.

I am passionate about being part of your journey, I believe that everyone has the opportunity to change and grow. We are not stuck, we have choices and a chance to chance and although some choices are not easy to make or current circumstances may not be our own making. Yet, it is still a choice to remain there with those thoughts and feelings. I can be the right counsellor for you as I am able to challenge you, and although this may be difficult at times the way I utilise my experience allows this to be done with warmth, honesty and sincerity. Some of the key elements of a good counsellor, if you decided I am not the right counsellor for you I am happy to refer on to others.
