Elizabeth Lawrence BA ed (hons), Psych. Couns, Hyp (Reg CS and HS).
WHO I AM
My name is Elizabeth (Liz) Lawrence. I am a Counsellor, Supervisor, Life coach and nutrition therapist (Ad. Dip. CP, Dip Hyp CS, BA (Hons)). I offer professional and empathetic support to help you work through any problems you may be experiencing. I will help you to gain understanding, create solutions, strategies and progress positively. I use an integrative approach, utilising a number of methods to suit your needs. I also offer counselling to adults, children and young adults.
WHAT I DO and HOW IT CAN HELP
I offer effective therapy in a wider variety of areas, including: depression, stress and anxiety, relationship problems, family difficulties, bereavement, social anxieties, addictions and many more. After a long career in teaching, I offer counselling for teachers, young students with exam stress, panic and anxiety around school/university, seeing effective results in teens. I have also worked with mature students making a change in career.
I work in Chelmsford, in a confidential setting with individuals, couples and groups.
I offer a confidential and non judgmental place in which you can talk about, and explore areas of difficulty in your life. This could be an immediate crisis, such as a relationship breakdown, bereavement, or it may be due to more long terms problems such as feeling low, anxious, or depressed, having relationships difficulties, or just feeling a low mood and feeling like something needs to change.
To find out more about whether counselling could help, please feel free to give me a ring, text or contact me by email to see how I can help. Evening appointments are available.

Supervision & training
Supervision is first and foremost a process that is practiced. Supervision is about support, encourage and engaging in emotionally demanding tasks, to make sure the counsellor knows how to do what is expected and to uphold agreed standards and support the supervisee/counsellor to work towards. Supervision forms a respectful and robust relationship with the people they are supervising. .
