Coronavirus update: I am continuing working with clients and taking on new clients via telephone or online platform at this present time. A limited number of concessions are available.
You are welcome to have an initial 20 to 25 minute free telephone counselling assessment session with myself. Please email me so I can book you in.
Sessions are normally 45 to 50 minutes. After you have completed a once weekly body of work for 7 weeks you are then welcome to go once a fortnight to make therapy more affordable for you.
Some acute or chronic anxiety or depression disorders might need twice weekly to begin with.
Life can have a way of not working how you would like it to be, you can stay stuck and repeat old conditioned patterns in the sub-conscious, old scripts of low self worth and not being good enough. The external self along with the internal critic becomes your norm. You may not realise or recognise that you are always making the past your present. I understand this and recognise how your life story is so important for the change you are seeking. I will never distort the reality of your life story, how you see and experience things.
I have a 23 year skill set. I work collaboratively and mindfully with you to get the changes you want. I work with unconscious motives, scripts and self limiting belief systems. I run a workable counselling/psychotherapy programme, either short term solution focused or long term therapy with aims to get you the best results for your emotional/mental health and wellbeing. I don’t judge, label or distort your reality, your life story is important to me.
When you’re internal self is realised and allowed a voice the external falls into place to match it, harmony and balance becomes your norm. I also believe we are not controlled or fixed by our genes, an old Darwinian science. I work with Epigenetics, that genes have a biological tendency for expression. They are not fixed. Changing our state of consciousness can influence or change completely our internal environment.
80% of my client work comes from past client referrals, or third parties that have heard of me from others.
Life does not need to be falling apart or become so unbearable to seek psychotherapy and counselling with me. Although in some circles it does carry this long old antiquated view. Many of my clients have well paid successful careers, captains of industry and realise somehow they are sabotaging their successes and relationship with themselves and others. Life is not as fulfilled as they would like it to be. Some clients come into therapy with me because they are consumed with stress, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, compulsions, depression or ill health. The body never lies.
I am specialised in treating anxiety, depression, stress, OCD, trauma, PTSD, phobias, post traumatic stress disorder, childhood trauma and abuse, relationship problems, partners who are victims of personality disorder relationships, eating disorders, body distortion image, family problems and parent alienation, addictions and other area of self harm. I see individuals, couples and families for therapy. I also work with perpetrators of domestic violence, the cycle of abuse.
I also work with young people age 14 to 19. I offer student counsellors personal counselling.
I have a background in nutrition for mental/emotion health and am aware that certain mental health conditions can be nutrition related especially anxiety and depressive related issues, OCD and addictions. Although this is now recognised in some NHS settings it has not filtered through the system. The norm is to not recognise it, even though it is science backed. I can work collaboratively with your doctor.
I offer personal therapy counselling and nutrition for issues around weight.
I also offer a short term therapy work using solution focused psychotherapy and Havening. Havening is science backed. You will have 5 to 7 weekly sessions with me and once monthly thereafter for 4 months. This brings about the changes you want in the shortest possible time. It is especially valuable for emotional traumatisation which leads to blocks in our sub-conscious that in normal circumstances would be difficult to access. It relies on my therapy skills to be able to identify these blockages for you and to use hypnosis/havening to cure them. It can be very successful for anxiety and depression and all addictions. Addictions are self medication against past trauma. It can also work with long term chronic health and pain issues.
As I do specialise I attract clients from all over the UK, if you are not local to me, you are welcome to have telephone or online counselling.
I run several groups on mindfulness psychotherapy for anxiety and depression.
I still work with all the big health insurance companies and employer health insurance providers but since January 2020 you will need to fund your sessions upfront with me. You then claim your session payments back from your health insurance provider. Most health insurance providers allow you to do this, but please check first.
I also offer CBT and CAT Therapy.
I am experienced in working with court orders and parent alienation I can also provide you with a report if you need one.
