Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Services and Fees

I recognise that clients sometimes have commitments that do not allow them to attend counselling regularly, it could be due to work, illness, money constraints, time issues, and more. I can offer different solutions and services to fit in with your lifestyle. None of the therapies you receive from me is compromised in any way; I am trained to work within these frameworks.

I am a member of and work within the ethical framework code of good practice laid out in the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy guidelines. I carry insurance.

Email counselling trouble-shooting or crises session

Sometimes and for whatever reasons you might like to have an impartial one off counsellors opinion to your particular problem, email is good medium for this. You might not be sure you are being emotionally abused by a partner, or bullied at work, you might want to seek some guidance on a relationship problem, or you might want a second opinion on something that you don’t emotionally understand. Then a trouble-shooting email session could be helpful for you if you have a particular problem to address.

An email session is booked in advance for you, payment is in advance either by cheque or paypal (a safe way of paying over the web, if you need more information on this, please ask). I will send you over a questionnaire and guidelines, to gather an understanding of you and any particulars that are deemed necessary for consultation with you. You complete this along with the issue(s) that is troubling you, and email back to me.

It is totally confidential I only collect your first name, male or female status, and date of birth, email address, and country of origin. I do not pass your particulars on to any third party, unless I am referring you to another counsellor with your consent. I will then have a look at your issue, and email you a therapeutic reply back within a given time frame, of which I will notify you off, this is normally within 24 hours, or can be longer on weekends and holidays.

Sometimes I might feel your issues run a lot deeper and will then suggest you have another email session, or have telephone counselling with me, or for you to seek a counsellor of your choosing, it is entirely your choice if you want to do this. I do not usually offer long term email counselling.

One off trouble shooting email session £25.00
On going weekly email sessions £20.00
