About me

Hello, my name is Zoe and I am a qualified counsellor/ psychotherapist. I provide an empathic, warm, non-judgemental space, where together we can explore what is going on for you.

I’m an integrative counsellor and this means I tailor my approach to meet your unique needs. I use a range of methods from talking therapy to somatic techniques (breath work and tapping). I am particularly interested in the mind-body connection and the development of our brain and nervous system.

What to expect from your first session

Your first session will be a FREE 30-minute consultation. We'll use this time to get to know each other and determine if I am a good fit for you.

Beyond this, we will explore your life experiences and understand how they have shaped the person you are today. So if you’re feeling overwhelmed, stressed or find it difficult to express yourself, our sessions will allow you to address the root causes of your struggles. My ultimate goal is to equip you with tools and healthy personalised coping mechanisms to improve your quality of life moving forwards.

I am currently offering online and face-to-face sessions for teenagers and adults; both options are safe and compassionate spaces, as I believe in the power of our therapeutic relationship.

Training, qualifications & experience

My qualifications are:

  • CertHE Interpersonal and Counselling Skills
  • Therapeutic Counselling Diploma Level 5
  • Accredited Emotional Freedom technique (EFT) Practitioner
  • Trauma informed certificate
  • Trained in working with neurodivergent adults and young people. I aim to continue my development in this area.
  • I am a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists.
  • Insured by the Holistic Insurance Company
  • DBS checked

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Further information

I've also worked with military folks and veterans, and I've got firsthand experience with how combat-related PTSD can shake up the whole family. With my dad facing these battles, I totally get how a caregiver's mental health struggles can ripple through the entire family.
