About me

I specialise in working with teenagers and children.  I can offer face to face sessions or alternatively for teenagers I can offer online or telephone sessions.

I am also a clinical supervisor for other counsellors supporting their work and providing helpful feedback.

Counselling is confidential and it provides a safe and non-judgemental place to share how you are feeling.  It offers therapeutic support and enables the individual to explore and gain a greater understanding of themselves, learning new coping skills and strategies and to move forward in a positive way.

I undertake the required 30hrs CPD (continual professional development) each year and attend monthly clinical supervision sessions and have liability insurance.

I have over 16 years experience of working as a counsellor and psychotherapist in my own private practice.  I have worked in secondary schools and colleges offering both face to face, one to one therapy online and telephone therapy and am currently working for a local university.

I have 10 years experience as a Tutor for two independent colleges training counsellors to a Level 5 Advanced Diploma, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Working with Children and Young People Diploma and Using Art and Imagery Diploma.

I specialise in working with children and young people, working with adults and families to offer counselling and psychotherapy.

I am a qualified clinical supervisor of counsellors and psychotherapists.

I am very down to earth and have a calm, supportive and encouraging approach to all my work.

Student therapy £30.00 per session

Concessions offered for low income or unemployed

Supervision costs vary but are roughly based at £50.00 for 1.5hr sessions but will depend on your governing bodies and or college/training requirements.

Further information

There is an initial assessment session where I will ask questions to get an idea of what is going on and look to tailor the therapy towards your needs, initially using person centred therapy, I can also use CBT, art and play therapy, sand tray work and also we can see if you are comfortable working with me.

Sessions last from 45 minutes to an hour dependent on the individual.
