About me

I am committed to working in a warm, compassionate, judgement-free way to provide a safe space for you to explore whatever you would like to bring to sessions. I work in a rather non-directive way, therefore I will not push you or challenge you to talk about anything you are uncomfortable with. We can go at your pace and talk as in depth about anything you like. If you feel this approach will not work for you, we can discuss other approaches to suit your needs.

I am a person-centred therapist with a masters in counselling & psychotherapy and I am a registered member of the BACP. I have extensive experience in helping clients with depression, stress and anxiety, family conflicts, grief, relationships, trauma and abuse, identity, motivation, self esteem and confidence.

I believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to live a fulfilling life and I am here to help you achieve that by tailoring my approach to your unique needs and circumstances. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage and I am here to work collaboratively with you to help you achieve your goals.

Please feel free to contact me for further information.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

You can contact the Counsellor to discuss the options available.
