About me
I am a highly qualified and experienced consultant psychotherapist and supervisor with 25 years' experience (30,000+ hrs of clinical practice) and recognised clinical expertise in the treatment and assessment of a wide range of mental health problems (including: depression, anxiety, personality disorders and psychosis), and problematic behaviours and addictions.
I'm a qualified Integrative, Dialectical Behaviour, and Schema-Focussed psychotherapist. My guiding aim is to help each client reach a point where they no longer require therapy or medication and can cope skilfully and independently with life’s challenges, understanding how the past can impede their ability to cope with the present.
Client Testimonials:
"Meeting Patrick changed my life; in fact, I believe it has saved my life. His therapy techniques have helped me recover from an emotional breakdown that had left me feeling isolated and misunderstood. " Client GB
"I received Cognitive Behavioural Therapeutic treatment from Patrick for some time, and I found him a wonderfully skilled and talented psychotherapist. He is warm, approachable, compassionate, kind-hearted, and has a very easy and professional manner. And, of course, he is very, very highly skilled as a consultant therapist.
I feel that his skills and exemplary manner within the psycho-therapeutic environment are second to none, and I have little doubt that without his help and his therapy, I would not be here today to write this recommendation." Client ND
"Patrick is truly exceptional. His prodigious mental health expertise is matched by his being the most considerate, kind, generous, and creative person. Patrick is an outstanding therapist as well as an inspired and impactful trainer." Marian Janner OBE, Chief Executive of Bright
"I have known and worked with Patrick in a variety of ways for many years. Not only is he a genuine and empathetic person, but he also possesses exceptional clinical and therapeutic skills, formulating his clients in a holistic and person-centred manner to provide the most effective form of eclectic therapeutic interventions, bringing about significant change in their lives. A truly inspiring clinician and individual." Dr Chris Moore, Director, Expert Psychology Consultancy

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
