About me

Hi there, welcome to Brighton Counselling. The first step is making contact. I would like to talk to you about what brings you to counselling at this time. Perhaps you have unresolved childhood issues that require linking past events and experiences to see and change patterns in the present through the counselling process.

Perhaps you are experiencing a crisis or going through significant life changes. You may want to work out, with counselling support, whether to stay together in your relationship or not, or to establish what needs to change.

I also have much experience in the field of bereavement counselling. As a grief counsellor, I will look closely at the impact of your loss with you, this may also include your experience of shock which can be complicated to navigate on your own.
I work with clients with serious health related illnesses such as heart disease, ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, and cancer. You may want counselling in preparation for or following surgery.

I also work with young people aged over 18 including students at Brighton University and University of Sussex and various other courses in the area. It can be a challenging time for young people. Please contact me directly on behalf of your young person if they would prefer. for anxiety, bereavement, trauma, relationship issues, 2 mins from Brighton station. UKCP&UKAHPP Accred. Offering you a confidential safe space for one to one counselling. My background is Integrative Humanistic and Gestalt. I offer both short and long term counselling for a wide range of issues. This might include anxiety, stress, panic attacks low self esteem, depression trauma health related issues, perhaps pre or post surgery or addiction. We may look at stuck patterns of behaviour, relationship difficulties and unresolved childhood issues. Relationships can often go through difficult times. You may be experiencing a crisis or going through significant life changes. You may want to find out whether to stay together or separate. The key is to have a willingness and motivation to work things out. My training in family systemic therapy is an integral part of this work. I also offer bereavement counselling, dealing with loss, shock and terminal illness, and I work with clients with serious health related issues. This could be preparing for and following surgery and treatment.

I am a fully accredited psychotherapeutic counsellor (MAHPP and UKCP senior accred.) with twenty five years experience as a counsellor and a background in teaching prior to this.  I am based in central Brighton, two minutes from Brighton station and close to Seven Dials.

I offer Clinical Supervision for both practising and trainee counsellors.
I have been a Clinical Supervisor at As You Are Counselling Service for several years.
Please call me if you are invested in working through this together even if the outcome is unclear.
