www.brighton-counselling.co.uk: for anxiety, bereavement, trauma, relationship issues, 2 mins from Brighton station. UKCP&UKAHPP Accred. Offering you a confidential safe space for one to one counselling. My background is Integrative Humanistic and Gestalt. I offer both short and long term counselling for a wide range of issues. This might include anxiety, stress, panic attacks low self esteem, depression trauma health related issues, perhaps pre or post surgery or addiction. We may look at stuck patterns of behaviour, relationship difficulties and unresolved childhood issues. Relationships can often go through difficult times. You may be experiencing a crisis or going through significant life changes. You may want to find out whether to stay together or separate. The key is to have a willingness and motivation to work things out. My training in family systemic therapy is an integral part of this work. I also offer bereavement counselling, dealing with loss, shock and terminal illness, and I work with clients with serious health related issues. This could be preparing for and following surgery and treatment.
I work with a wide range of ages of clients and have substantial experience working with students.
I am a fully accredited psychotherapeutic counsellor (MAHPP and UKCP) with twenty years experience as a counsellor and ten years as an inner city teacher prior to this. I set up my private counselling practice in Brighton in 2002. I am based in central Brighton, two minutes from Brighton station and close to Seven Dials.
I offer Clinical Supervision for both practising and trainee counsellors.
I have been a Clinical Supervisor at As You Are Counselling Service for several years.
Counselling is a way in which to make sense of past issues and patterns of behaviour to see how aspects of past history are perhaps getting in the way. Perhaps you are struggling to accept a change in your life or want to look at unfinished business from the past. Working through this in Counselling can help come to terms with change or loss in a more manageable way. It is a way of looking at things with new perspective, perhaps your relationship is stuck in some way and communication has become blocked. Please call me if you are invested in working through this together even if the outcome is unclear.
