About me
Hi there, welcome to Brighton Counselling. The first step is making contact. I would like to talk to you about what brings you to counselling at this time. Perhaps you have unresolved childhood issues that require linking past events and experiences to see and change patterns in the present through the counselling process.
Perhaps you are experiencing a crisis or going through significant life changes. You may want to work out, with counselling support, whether to stay together in your relationship or not, or to establish what needs to change.
I also have much experience in the field of bereavement counselling. As a grief counsellor, I will look closely at the impact of your loss with you, this may also include your experience of shock which can be complicated to navigate on your own.
I work with clients with serious health related illnesses such as heart disease, ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, and cancer. You may want counselling in preparation for or following surgery.
I also work with young people aged over 18 including students at Brighton University and University of Sussex and various other courses in the area. It can be a challenging time for young people. Please contact me directly on behalf of your young person if they would prefer.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
