About me

Everyone goes through times when they experience 'stuckness' or difficulties. This can manifest itself in many ways, such as feelings of anxiety, relationship difficulties, problems at work or low mood. I offer a confidential and honest space to explore and work through these challenges. You may also have had experiences that are difficult to make sense of on your own. Therapy can offer a space to do so.

I am a UKCP registered Psychotherapist and my private practice is located two minutes walk from Highbury and Islington Station.

Over the last decade, I have worked in various settings including privately, for the NHS, and in the charity sector. I am trained as a Psychologist and, alongside my Psychotherapeutic practice, am also working towards a Doctorate in Psychology and Psychotherapy.

I offer long and shorter-term counselling or psychotherapy. Our first consultation is an opportunity to discuss your concerns and to consider whether we would work well together. In shorter-term work we may set a certain number of sessions, and focus on a specific concern, or on unpacking general anxieties. In longer-term therapy we can work open-ended, or to a more defined contract, exploring underlying or deeper-rooted challenges.

My approach is integrative, meaning that I draw on different therapeutic perspectives, paying attention to both the influence of your past and current circumstances. This also means I am flexible; I believe in us collaboratively developing an approach that best supports you as an individual. The relationship we establish is fundamental to the work we do and can offer important insights about other relationships in your life. I believe therapy can be transformational. Not only in terms of supporting behavioural changes, but also in developing a deeper insight into yourself and the relationships in your life.

Skype or telephone sessions can be arranged.

I am registered with AXA PPP and Aviva private health insurance.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am fully accredited with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and abide by their code of ethics. I am also a registered member of the British Psychological Society (BPS).

My Psychotherapy training was completed at the Metanoia Institute in Ealing. I have a Clinical Diploma in Psychotherapy. I also have a BSc in Psychology, with Honours, and am in the final stages of obtaining a Doctorate in Psychology and Psychotherapy.
