About me
Hi, I'm Lauren, a professional Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor offering one to one therapy in central Exeter and online sessions via Zoom or phone.
I specialise in domestic abuse and trauma work and am qualified in NET.
Even the strongest among us can feel lost, unsure, ambivalent, or unhappy at times.
I am an Integrative Psychotherapist, which means I'm able to draw on a variety of methods and techniques to best assist you in maintaining very relaxed, patient led sessions giving you the opportunity to grow and develop as best you can, helping you to help yourself. I work in a variety of ways to help you feel comfortable and open up in a safe space.
My approach is based on working in the here and now looking at what's going on for you whilst also paying attention to unfinished cycles. I have a lot of life experience and understanding of the importance of life and the struggles we all face, through my own trials and professional workings.
I specialise in therapy for Survivors of Domestic Abuse and Trauma, I have a wider knowledge and interest in Relationships and Parenthood. I believe that you have the strength not just to survive, but to truly thrive. That's not to say I only offer therapy for this.
My door is always open to everyone, and my daily work involves helping people deal with a wide variety of conditions, so I can help you understand and manage whatever life throws at you. I look forward to hearing from you.

Member organisations
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
