About me

I work with clients to shape and achieve the goals that matter to them. My clients include adults, teenagers and children (age 10 +).

We are always 'solution-focused' in the work that we do. This means that our focus is on answers more than problems, and that we discuss and seek to understand the past only in as much as it is affecting the present.

I believe that every client is unique, and that therefore their experience of the world is also unique. This means that our work is never to treat 'a condition'. It is rather to enable each individual to understand what has caused how they are feeling; how they can change this; how to maintain change and how to thrive in their life.

While I am happy to work with anyone and with any presentation, I have particular experience working with the following:

anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, Obsessive  Compulsive  Disorder, trauma (PTSD), phobia, addictions, eating disorders, self-harm, insomnia, poor relationships and bereavement.

As well as 1:1 consultations, I also offer Equine Therapy: work involving a horse (either ridden or led) to unlock resources and aid recovery.

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a Counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the Counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
