About me
Is a specific problem hindering you? This might be high anxiety, an addiction, OCD, intrusive thoughts, difficulty getting to sleep, always waking tired, PTSD or an experience from your past that's weighing you down. There are many others!
Or it may be something less concrete: 'I don't like myself', 'I feel overwhelmed', 'Life doesn't seem to have meaning any more', 'I'm stuck in patterns that I don't know how to get out of'.
Maybe it's been going on for years; perhaps it's quite new and acute.
It can be overcome.
I believe that every client is unique, and that therefore their experience of the world is also unique. This means that our work is never to treat 'a condition'. It is rather to enable each individual to understand what has caused how they are feeling; then to resolve this experience or event, and finally to gain the tools to maintain change, and thrive going forward.
While I am happy to work with anyone and with any presentation, I have particular experience working with the following:
anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, trauma (PTSD), phobias, addictions, eating disorders, intrusive thoughts, self-harm, anger, ADHD, poor relationships and insomnia.
Do reach out. No problem is too big or too small to resolve. An initial phone call (free of charge and without obligation) can help you to decide if I'm the right person for you to work with.

Further information
Every client who comes here is warmly welcomed. I offer tea, coffee or a soft drink, and if clients prefer not to work in my consulting room, there is the option of a sitting room - with an optional dog for company!
Sessions are 60 minutes, unless clients ask me for longer. This does not include 'meeting and greeting' time.
When I'm working with children under 16, we include a variety of activities to keep the child engaged. Sessions are 40-60 minutes long, according to attention span. Parents are welcome to sit in with children, should both prefer this.
I also work with both young people and adults on zoom.
