About me

It can be so hard to reach out when you need help. A problem or worry can be something from the past or a current situation that leaves you overwhelmed and unable to move forward. Maybe you instinctively feel something needs to change, but don’t know how to make that happen. Training in different modalities enables me to work flexibly and holistically, adapting my approach to meet your needs. My approach to counselling is underpinned by the belief that everyone can change and heal, provided their environment facilitates growth. I aim to provide such an environment whereby you are equipped to take action for yourself.

I adopt a culturally informed practice and work with adults 18+ across all backgrounds and life experiences, whatever your stage of life, race, sexuality, neurodiversity, or class identity. I have 30 years of experience in the NHS and Occupational Health sectors and have worked as a clinical tutor with adults and young people.

I am warm, kind and easy to talk to, offering a safe, non-judgemental space where you will be heard and valued. Online and face-to-face sessions are available at my practice in North London. Together we can explore any struggles you may be experiencing so that you can live with a greater sense of well-being and self-confidence.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
