About me
Dip Couns. Reg (MBACP) and (NCPS) Accredited also (MFHT)
H. Phillips Counselling
I am an accredited counsellor and integrative Psychotherapist working holistically with my clients, whenever possible. What this means is I look at the whole person and not just their mental health. I also explore your physical, emotional, social, mental and spiritual wellbeing. Then work towards finding a better balance in these areas.
Using an integrative approach helps me to explore the needs of the client more fully, by using a blended method of counselling, then tailor it individually to the client depending on what the presenting issues are. This empowers them to find a healthy balance and induces a better understanding of themselves.
I work with a wide range of clients, children, young people and adults covering many issues. I take pride in supporting my clients on their journey by developing the therapeutic relationship.
I offer a professional confidential service in a safe place, either one-to-one, online or by telephone. Appointments can be booked online. All sessions are by appointment only.
There is nothing too big or too small to bring to counselling. If there is something concerning you, it is OK to talk about it.
Taking that first step can be daunting, it is often the most difficult on the counselling journey even for returning clients.
Counselling is a talking therapy, it allows you to speak freely, and be heard. Finding a counsellor you are comfortable with is very important in the therapeutic process.
If you need to talk or feel overwhelmed and don't know where to start. It is time to make YOU a priority.

The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society
This Not For Profit association of counsellors and psychotherapists aim to support the counselling profession, members and training organisations.
In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
