About me
I am able to help with (amongst others); depression & anxiety, trauma (including PTSD), addiction, relationship issues, bereavement, work related stress, sexual abuse. I work with both couples and individuals.
If you feel I can help you, we can arrange a free 40 minute consultation to explore the presenting issues. If we both agree it is a good fit, I will tailor my approach to therapy with proven therapeutic techniques to suit your needs, and we will commence work on a weekly basis.
I am able to offer both in-person in Sevenoaks or online via Zoom to suit your needs.
My journey to becoming a therapist started later in life, and the transition presented challenges in my marriage, my relationships with family and friends, and most importantly with myself.
Training to become a therapist has been the most rewarding, and meaningful process I have ever embarked on. I am afforded the benefit of extensive life experience that is potentially unique in a therapist - as a man, as a stay-at-home dad, as someone who has lived and experienced many different cultures and working situations, and as an individual who has, at times, struggled with codependency and the corporate world. I understand what it is to feel judged on results rather than who I am, and to feel the intense pressure of 'keeping up with one's colleagues'.
I believe that everyone is capable of living happier, healthier and more fulfilling lives if they can find the courage to look inwards. I understand that it can be daunting to take the first steps, having faced it myself. I am passionate and committed to helping people take this journey in a safe, understanding, and supportive environment.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Association of Christians in Counselling and Linked Professions (ACC) is a Christian professional membership organisation for those involved in counselling/psychotherapy and linked professions, i.e. pastoral care, coaching and spiritual direction, in the UK. The organisation is made up of various different membership categories, including Counsellor and Accredited, and requires all members working as counsellors to undertake Continuous Professional Development on a regular basis.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

My journey to becoming a therapist started later in life; after giving up a career in the corporate world to become the primary caregiver to my son in 2017, with my wife returning to full time work. This transition presented challenges in my marriage, my relationships with family and friends, and most importantly with myself.
