About me

Finding a counselor can be a daunting process and it is important that you take the time to find someone you feel able to connect with and trust.

I offer somewhere safe, where you can begin to understand yourself, your life, your feelings and behaviors.

My role

My role is to help you identify and work through difficult feelings or issues in your life which may be causing you distress. Helping you to see a way through your issues and to define a clear idea of what you want and need in your life.

Are you battling with Anxiety or Depression?

Are you having Relationship issues?

Are you going through or coming to terms with Separation or Divorce?

Are there Family issues that you need support with?

Maybe you're feeling sad or struggling with low self-esteem?

I may be able to help you. It may feel hard but the first step in getting the help you need is making contact.

As an integrative counselor, I am able to tailor the way I work in order to best support your individual needs, whether that is looking at underlying issues contributing to behaviors, finding ways/ strategies to cope and move forward, or offering support coping with feelings in the here and now.

How?/what?

  • I can offer support to cope with emotional stress and help dealing with negative thoughts and feelings.
  • I can help with self-confidence and resilience, enhancing your relationship with yourself and your ability to connect with your loved ones.
  • Your sense of choice and self-esteem can be improved by acknowledging destructive behaviours and self-sabotaging habits.
  • We can find new ways to deal with conflict in your relationships and within yourself.
  • I can help you find a new way to understand present challenges and develop plans/ solutions for the future.

Whatever you choose to talk about I offer support, empathy, confidentiality and somewhere you can share things, free from judgement.

What now?

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
