About me

Hello, my name is Elizabeth (she/they), a qualified integrative counsellor and psychotherapist offering both open-ended or short-term therapy, in-person in East London or online countrywide.

I offer a calm, open and non-judgemental environment where I am aim for you to feel supported, safe, accepted and heard, to allow you to be honest and explore what is coming up for you in a confidential space.

I strongly believe that the most important aspect of therapy is the client-therapist relationship. Therefore, I am interested in getting to know you, hearing about your experiences, relationships and the views you hold of yourself and the world around you.

We will work collaboratively to identify patterns in your life that may be unhelpful or causing you distress, whilst drawing links to your past to identify how it may be showing itself in the present. I will encourage you to use the space to process any difficult emotions you may be experiencing in order to facilitate you making the changes you desire to help move forward in life.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a BSc in Integrative Counselling from the University of East London which is accredited by the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I am also a registered member of the BACP and abide by their ethical framework.

Previously, I have volunteered with WeStand (formally MOSAC), a charity in south London working specifically with the impact of child sexual abuse on family members, in addition to volunteering with a low-cost counselling service in Hackney.

In my practice, I work in a non-judgemental, affirmative and sex-positive way with individuals of all sexual and gender identities. This includes, those who engage in non-conformative sexual practices (kink/fetish) and relationships.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
