Welcome to Unity counselling.
Are you struggling with issues related to trauma, grief, anxiety or major life changes? There comes a time when we need some help from a certified professional to help cope with many of life’s challenges. I’m a counsellor based in Hampshire and I’d love to help you on your journey toward healing & self discovery. Life can be overwhelming and sometimes even exhausting. I’m here to guide you through any obstacles you may face. I am deeply committed to kindness, caring and compassion. I offer a genuine, supportive and non-judgmental space where we can explore any aspect of your life in hope of gaining a greater understanding of yourself, your personal relationships and your place in context to the world around you.

I have a proven history of counselling and psychotherapy for an organised charity, providing counselling face to face, online and via telephone. I am committed to delivering person-centred support, leading to a greater understanding and increased self awareness. My experience has shown me this can  empower people to make informed decisions on their life and challenges they may face.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

I offer a free 30 minute online or telephone consultation that gives you the chance to get to know how I practice and see if you feel we could work together.  Therapy sessions are typically 50 minutes per session, and can be either online, telephone or face to face in my private therapy room based in Eastleigh. There is ample parking, links to public transport and easy access from the motorway. I have varying availability in the week and at weekends.

I am willing to offer long term, short term and open ended counselling. The amount of sessions you have is up to you. I am client led and believe only you know what is right for you.
