About us

Westmeria Counselling offers a wide range of mental health services for those within our local community and outside of the Bromley Borough, as well. The team of counsellors offer a safe space, and support through counselling either in person or online. We are here to help our clients navigate their transformative journey towards mental wellness and personal growth through talking therapy.

How can we help you?

Westmeria counsellors are integrative, person-centred counsellors and BACP members. We understand that the decision to seek counselling can be a difficult one and we offer a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where you can feel safe to explore your thoughts and feelings and receive support and understanding in return.

Our counsellors take a personalised approach to therapy, tailoring sessions to meet your needs and goals. We strive to help clients learn the tools they need to make positive changes in their lives, at their own pace. Whether you would like support for anxiety and depressions, family issues, low self-esteem or the impacts of health issues and beyond, Westmeria counsellors are here to help.

We offer accessible sessions based on your preference for in-person sessions at our Bickley location or online therapy through both our donation and our private services.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

We have verified that at least one professional at this organisation is registered with the relevant professional body.
