About me

I am a fully qualified and experienced counsellor plus a fully registered and  Accredited member of the BACP.

I offer face to face for individuals in Horsham on Fridays as well as on the telephone and online sessions via zoom, which will be conducted from the safety of your own home.

The service I offer is open-ended therapy as I  realise that one size does not fit all. I tailor my approach to suit each individual client.

I offer a free 20-minute initial session which will help you to decide if I am the counsellor that will be able to help you, working on the emphasis that the relationship between client and counsellor is the most important one.

I work face to face at the center of Horsham town.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Further information

Have you ever felt like you do not belong?

Have you felt like you are from a different planet, compared to your family and friends? Nobody could possibly understand how you feel or even understand the massive range of emotions you experience on a day to day basis?

Dealing with anxiety, depression, panic attacks, low self-esteem, low self-confidence, and stress is very isolating. You constantly feel alone and overwhelmed.

Counselling can help.

Taking the first step in asking for help is one of the hardest things a person must do.

Having been a client myself I understand how difficult it is to explain what you are feeling inside your own head without feeling like you are being judged. Having to say these feelings out loud is even harder. That is why I am here to support you through your journey. I want to help you not only understand what patterns are playing out in your unconsciousness but also to discover who you really are. Together we can deal with the issues that are holding you back from being you.

I work mainly within the Psychodynamic modality, the emphasis of this therapy is that early experiences are seen as important in shaping the way the mind works.  With Psychodynamic counselling, the counsellor will help the client to explore his or her problems in a way that make references to the past, in terms that the potential "unconscious" conflicts or issues that are relevant to what we are experiencing today.
