About me

I am a naturally empathic person and have helped people throughout my life. Many people chose to become a counsellor after a life-changing event, for some empty nest syndrome/divorce or even monetary reasons. My trigger was through heart issues, and I died eight times, and medical staff brought me back, I did beat the odds. I found new light in life and direction; over the years, I have overcome two major strokes and other illnesses, through therapies and determination, I rehabilitated, and I have helped countless people on the path to recovery. My knowledge of therapies spans 13 years, mainly through self-help and finding a therapist that could understand or not working from their house; nothing more embarrassing than asking to use the toilet and being chauffeured through a family house to use their bathroom. I started my counselling journey over five years ago; within this time, I have enrolled and gained knowledge spanning over two degrees which I am in my final stage of an Honour degree in Counselling Psychology. I plan and am on target to becoming a Counselling Psychologist through completing a starting doctorate next year.

I believe in helping a person, empathy and knowledge is important but experiencing the issues is essential also, and far outweighs teachings and textbooks, as I truly understand your mindset.

I have suffered a nervous breakdown due to multiple events and bottling up stresses until the bottle cracked. I specialise in and have extensive knowledge of bereavement and its complexities; I can travel and offer rest bite for those dying.

I am a simple man with good intentions; I am not here for profit but rather feel I did not die when the odds were against me, and I want to make the best of my life. I used to run successful companies but now feel the enrichment of reward in helping people rather than profit.

I have quite an expansive knowledge and can help you through, please drop me a line.

The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
