About me
Are you struggling to feel positivity or happiness in your day? Are you experiencing overwhelming sadness or grief? Or finding it difficult to do things that you want to do, like attend a social event, because anxiety tells you not to? Do you feel stressed, lacking in energy and just ‘not yourself’ most days? And are these feelings beginning to impact on relationships that are important to you, your work life and life in general?
I can help you feel better and find yourself again. Help you to achieve those things you are struggling with and move forwards from the worries that you have been experiencing. Imagine waking in the morning with more positivity and energy - looking forward to seeing people and doing those things you have been avoiding.
I am an integrative therapist with hundreds of hours of experience working with people just like you. I work with a wide variety of personal challenges that face clients every day and in particular I am an anxiety specialist working with both adults and adolescents. I have additional training in anxiety, bereavement counselling, neurodiversity and working with adolescents and I understand what it feels like to be overwhelmed and struggling. I use my experience and knowledge to help you feel better - together we reintroduce balance to your life, helping you to feel more positive and confident. We find ways of coping that suit you and help you to manage the things in life that currently challenge you.
I work with adults and adolescents from the age of 13, and I work in a warm and friendly way - sometimes creatively and sometimes thinking about the part your body plays in your mental wellness as well as your mind. I welcome all cultures, genders, ages and identities to my practice and my role is to listen and not judge, to explore and sometimes challenge you but always to follow your lead.
Email me now and let’s see how I can help you. Together, we can find a way through to better times.
I am currently able to offer long and short-term psychotherapy and counselling.
As a Registered Member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society and the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists, I adhere to their ethical framework so you can feel confident that my qualifications and practice are client-centred, supervised and safe. I regularly undertake extra training and I also attend regular supervision with a senior practitioner to support me in giving clients the best possible service.

The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society

In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Further information
The relationship between counsellor and client is especially important in order for us to be able to effectively work together. With this in mind I offer a free 15-minute telephone or video call during which you can give me brief details of why you are seeking counselling and ask me any questions you may have. If we agree to working together, we can then book an initial session in which we can explore your reasons for seeking counselling and how you would like counselling to help you.
