About me

In my counselling sessions, I provide a unique mix of empathy, compassion, and understanding, fostering a supportive environment. My sincere care allows clients to feel truly understood, building trust and openness in our therapeutic relationship.

My empathic nature enables me to connect deeply with the emotions and experiences of my clients, making them feel validated and acknowledged without judgment. I possess a remarkable ability to put myself in their shoes, which helps me grasp the intricacies of their struggles and challenges, fostering a deeper understanding of their unique perspectives.

Compassion is the cornerstone of my counselling approach. I approach each individual with kindness and genuine concern for their well-being, allowing them to feel safe to explore their feelings and vulnerabilities. My clients often find solace in my warm and caring demeanour, knowing that I genuinely care about their journey towards healing and growth.

Furthermore, my exceptional understanding of human nature and psychological dynamics allows me to navigate complex emotional issues with sensitivity and wisdom. I have a keen intuition that helps me uncover underlying issues and patterns that may influence my client's thoughts and behaviours. With this insight, I provide tailored guidance and practical tools to empower my clients to overcome challenges and find their inner strength.

My counselling style is person-centred and focuses on fostering personal growth and self-awareness. I encourage my clients to embrace their emotions, confront their fears, and explore their authentic selves, promoting a path of self-discovery and self-acceptance at their pace and in their own time.

I have availability on Saturdays if anyone can't manage a week day, please get in touch, if you need a weekend appointment.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
