About me

Hello and Welcome,

I have over 14 years' experience as a counsellor working with adults and young people. I offer face to face, online or telephone sessions.  I offer a free 15 minute consultation, to see how we can work together successfully.

My Experience and Background

I have many years experience of working within the NHS, Schools, Voluntary, Statutory and Charity sector, helping adults and young people from a diverse range of backgrounds.

These have included: Mental Health issues like Anxiety, Depression and OCD, Relationships, Family Conflict, Abuse, Self Esteem and confidence, Anger Management, Loss, Bereavement, Infertility, and Life Transitions.

In addition, I have many years' experience of counselling adults and young people in schools and I have supported families in crisis.

How will I work with you?

I use an Integrative Approach which means I use a combination of therapies to best meet your needs, Person-Centred, Psychodynamic and CBT are just some of the ways I will work with you. This basically means we will explore your past patterns, childhood experiences, beliefs, thinking patterns, feelings and thoughts, to help you move forward with new positive insights.

I aim to help you feel more empowered and happier with your life. I have seen clients thrive and make many positive changes, turning their lives around.

Whatever your reasons for seeking counselling, I am here to listen and support you through the process. Life can be challenging and exhausting but sometimes what is really needed is time out to reflect and gain a greater understanding of who we are and what we truly need/want. That is where our power is.

I provide a safe, comfortable space without fear of judgement for us to work together.

How can Counselling help?

Counselling can help you gain a new perspective on your current situation. By exploring your thoughts and feelings, patterns of relating etc, you will acquire a deeper sense of yourself. Through this greater understanding, comes wisdom and more empowerment, to take control of life and move forward more positively.

If you want to feel more in control of your life circumstances or to feel better about yourself, then therapy can do this by giving you the space you need to offload and truly be heard. By working together, you will start to experience a greater sense of well-being and gain more mental clarity.

How do I reach out?

Taking the first step can feel scary and I understand the importance of finding someone that you feel comfortable with hence I offer a free 15!minute Initial Consultation. This gives you the opportunity to see if I’m the right therapist for you. We can then talk about how we can best work together. Our regular sessions will cost £60 online or £65, for face to face. I offer weekly and fortnightly sessions. Monthly sessions are available towards the end.

What to do next?

I can be contacted on my mobile 07786560807  by email: inspirationaltherapy@outlook.com

I look forward to working with you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
