About me

Hello and welcome.

Please note I'm currently taking on new clients via video link and telephone until the Government Guidelines say it's safe to do so. All sessions will be offered at only £35.0 during this period. Please get in touch if you need counselling for any reason.

I have been counselling since 2010 and have a wealth of experience of working with adults in a health service, social care and voluntary organisations helping people from diverse backgrounds with a wide range of issues, i.e., metntal health issues: anxiety, depression, also, relationships, family conflict, abuse, self esteem, anger management, loss and bereavement etc. I offer one to one therapy to adults.

In addition, I have many years experience of counselling children and young adults in schools and have supported families in crisis and co-run parenting programmes.

I am a qualified counsellor and I work in an integrative way which means I use a combination of therapies to best meet your needs, (Person-centred, psychodynamic and CBT approaches). I match my skills and experience to your needs.

Whatever your reasons for seeking counselling, I am here to help and support you through the process. Life can be challenging and we are expected to just get on with it and sometimes we cannot; what we really need is time out to reflect, re-adjust and gather our strength again. This is where I come in to help you by providing a safe, comfortable and warm space where you have the opportunity to discuss whatever it is on your mind. This is within a supportive and relaxed atmosphere, without fear or judgement.

Therapy can help you gain a new perspective on your current situation, help you to explore your feelings to empower you to move forward with your life or feel better about yourself, just giving you the space you need to offload and truly be heard. By working together, you  will start to experience a new level of wellbeing and feel more positive and content with your circumstances.

Taking the first step can feel scary and I understand the importance of finding someone that you feel comfortable with hence an initial consultation is offered to you to see if I’m the right therapist for you.

I can be contacted on my mobile or email address as listed. Please feel free to get in touch.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
