About me

Hello and welcome.

I have been counselling since 2010 and have a wealth of experience of working with adults in a health service, social care and voluntary organisations helping people from diverse backgrounds with a wide range of issues, i.e., anxiety, depression, relationships, family conflict, abuse, self esteem, anger management, loss and bereavement etc. Also, I have many years experience of counselling children and young adults in schools and through various voluntary agencies. In addition, I have supported families in crisis and run parenting programmes.

I am a qualified counsellor and I work in an integrative way which means I use a combination of therapies to best meet your needs, (Person-centred, psychodynamic and CBT approaches). I try and match my skills and experience to your needs.

Whatever your reasons for seeking counselling, I am here to help and support you through the process. Life can be challenging and we are expected to just get on with it and sometimes we cannot; what we really need is time out to reflect, re-adjust and gather our strength again. This is where I come in to help you by providing a safe, comfortable and warm space where you have the opportunity to discuss whatever it is on your mind. This is within a supportive and relaxed atmosphere, without fear or judgement.

Therapy can help you gain a new perspective on your current situation, help you to explore your feelings to empower you to move forward with your life or feel better about yourself, just giving you the space you need to offload and truly be heard. By working together, you  will start to experience a new level of wellbeing and feel more positive and content with your circumstances.

Taking the first step can feel scary and I understand the importance of finding someone that you feel comfortable with hence an initial consultation is offered to you to see if I’m the right therapist for you.

I can be contacted on my mobile or email address as listed. Please feel free to get in touch.
