MBACP, DIP Counselling

About me

Hello and welcome,

I am an experienced, registered counsellor who is working face to face,  online or by telephone. I offer one to one therapy with adults.

My experience and Background

I have a wealth of experience of working with adults in the Health Service, Social Care and Voluntary Organisations helping people from diverse backgrounds with a wide range of issues, i.e., Mental Health,  Anxiety, Depression, Relationships, Family Conflict, Abuse, low Self Esteem, Anger Management, Loss and Bereavement, Infertility, feeling sad, Confidence etc. In addition, I have many years experience of counselling children and young adults in schools and have supported families in crisis.

How I work?

I work in an Integrative way which means I use a combination of therapies to best meet your needs, (Person-Centred, Psychodynamic and CBT approaches). We will explore your past patterns, childhood, feelings and thoughts to move forward with new positive insights. I can help you to feel more empowered and happier with your life. I have seen clients thrive and make many positive changes.

Whatever your reasons for seeking counselling, I am here to help and support you through the process. Life can be challenging and exhausting but sometimes what we really need is time to reflect to gain a greater understanding of ourselves.  I provide a safe, comfortable space without fear of judgement for us to work together.

How can Counselling help?

Counselling can help you gain a new perspective on your current situation, explore past patterns of relating and help you to explore your feelings to empower you to move forward. If you want to feel more in control of your life circumstances or to feel better about yourself, then therapy can do this by giving you the space you need to offload and truly be heard. By working together, you will start to experience a greater sense of well-being and gain more mental clarity.

How do I reach out?

Taking the first step can feel scary and I understand the importance of finding someone that you feel comfortable with hence I offer a free 20 minute Initial Consultation to see if I’m the right therapist for you. We can then talk about how we can best work together and if you wish to continue, sessions will then  cost £50 online or £60 for face to face.

What to do next?

I can be contacted on my mobile 07786560807 or by email.  I look forward to working with you.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
