About me

Hello and warm welcome,

My name is Patricia and I am a UKCP accredited integrative psychotherapist.

As an integrative psychotherapist, I draw from various psychological perspectives as I firmly believe there’s no one-size-fits-all approach. My approach is tailored to suit each client’s unique needs. When working with children, I integrate art and play therapy,  while with adults, I am also open to including body-oriented work, art, creativity and sand play when appropriate.

My therapeutic approach is holistic, warm, empathetic, compassionate, and non-judgmental. When we feel safe and seen by another, we can reconnect with our needs, feelings and beliefs. I believe that as this happens, you become more self-aware and organically begin to make the changes that you need in order for your mind, emotions and body to be aligned. I strive to walk alongside you through this journey of self-discovery and to help you make the positive changes you desire in your life.

I work with children, adolescents, and adults. I also offer parenting consultations that can be either occasional or continuous work. Sessions can be in English, Spanish, or Catalan. I offer online and in-person therapy for adolescents, adults, and parents. Please note that with primary-age children I only work in person.

In addition, having lived in different countries myself, I understand the emotional, cultural, and practical challenges of relocating. I am experienced and interested in supporting people who are dealing with issues of belonging and identity as a consequence of migratory experiences.

ADULTS:

I support adults facing specific challenges with either a particular event, a long-standing difficulty, or those who are interested in personal growth. I am interested in how our early experiences can shape who we are in the present and how this is manifest in relationships, self-perception, and self-beliefs. Together, we can explore early life patterns, address emotional difficulties, and understand present roadblocks that may be hindering your personal growth. My aim is to help you discover more about yourself, and foster your growth of self-awareness and authenticity so positive choices can be made.

ADOLESCENTS:

Adolescence can be a challenging stage in life while also extremely enriching. Transition into adulthood can bring up a rollercoaster of emotions such as confusion, frustration, anger, shame, and anxiety. In my experience, some adolescents find it easier to talk with someone outside their network support and I provide a safe, confidential space for adolescents to navigate this transformative phase. I am here to help them explore any complex thoughts and emotions so they can understand themselves and their needs better.

CHILDREN:

I have extensive experience supporting children and adolescents through various challenges, including school transitions, bereavements, family changes, new siblings, peer difficulties, ADHD and ASD and more. My approach is creative and empathetic, tailored to meet children where they are in their developmental journey.

PARENTS:

I offer sessions to parents whose children are too young to engage in therapy or parents who need strategies to manage particular situations.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have over a decade of experience working in various mental health and educational settings including early years, charitable organisations and NHS projects. I have experience in supporting children, young people and adults from all walks of life facing challenges such as anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, bereavement and life transition issues. I have over four years of experience working in a charitable service specialising in supporting children and adolescents who have experienced sexual abuse as well as supporting non-abusive family members.
