About me
Approach and Background
As a Counselling Psychologist, I aim to create a secure and empathetic space for individuals and couples to explore and overcome their emotional challenges. I have a special interest in working with individuals and couples who have experienced complex trauma, anxiety, depression, workplace issues, and relationship dynamics, to facilitate a process of healing that helps achieve resilience and change.
I am skilled in offering trauma-focused therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Couples Therapy and I am able to draw on Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) skills. I take an integrative approach, making use of various therapeutic skills according to clients’ needs. In so doing, I work to foster an environment where clients feel empowered to engage in deep self-exploration and implement practical strategies that promote personal growth, enhance relationships, and lead to lasting psychological well-being.
In each session, I am attentive to the dynamics of the therapeutic relationship itself, which I view as a fundamental element of the healing process. I believe that a strong and authentic therapeutic relationship is key to facilitating meaningful change and often the most significant predictor of therapy outcomes.

Training, qualifications & experience
Experience
I bring a decade of experience in diverse mental health settings such as the NHS, schools, and local councils, complemented by a strong academic background. I have expertise in psychological assessments and therapeutic interventions, which allow me the skills and confidence to work with a wide range of psychological issues affecting individuals, adults, families and couples.
I initially engaged with adult clients within primary care mental health services and the progressed to working in secondary care settings with clients who presented with complex and severe mental health challenges. By 2017, my focus shifted to CAMHS, where I supported children and families, collaborating closely with social workers, schools and foster carers. My role often involved working with young people who faced significant trauma, including those from disrupted family environments and asylum-seeking backgrounds. Subsequently, I progressed to supervising and coordinating a mental health support team to enhance the support structures for staff, students and families. I currently work with Camden Local Authority to support young adults at risk of criminal and sexual exploitation, addressing their needs related to complex trauma through psychological therapy and professional consultation. I also work in private practice offering support to individuals and couples using the approaches described above.
With experience working with couples in private practice, as well as experience of systemic therapy in the NHS with children, families and couples, I welcome both individual and couples interested in addressing difficulties related to complex trauma, attachment difficulties and relationship dynamics.
I am registered with the Health Care and Professionals Council (HCPC) whose code of ethics I abide by.
