About me

Depression / Anger management;  Life Style changes towards Well-being for individuals, children, adolescents and families. I also provide therapy dealing with Traumas and Family Issues ( Family Systemic therapy).

My work is grounded in Humanistic / Existential / Transpersonal Psychology / Transformational and Spirituality -  Integrative approaches, Holistic and Mindfulness practice.  Meaning I am trained in many different Theories / Models / Techniques and so I adopt the best approach  to meet your unique and individual needs and circumstances.

I will assist you so you can better understand your problems / difficulties / issues and I will mediate and encourage you to explore and clarify your thoughts, feelings, patterns in your life and behaviours that lead onto your life experiences. I support you and facilitate this process so we can together unravel, understand, overcome and make effective long lasting changes.  Thus, enabling you to live a life that is more satisfying and fulfilling. 

I have found that Holistic and Creative approaches work wonderfully well with Children and Adolescents towards changes. Specially in cases of Anxieties ; changes in life style and Traumas. 

When taking a holistic approach, means that I will facilitate and help you to look closely into your Physical, Mental/Intellectual, Social, Emotional, Creative and Spiritual needs in order to promote Healing and Growth. Techniques such as mindfulness, breathing work, relaxation, yoga somatic movement and Guided visualization. 

I have professional liability insurance and an enhanced CRB check to work with vulnerable Adults and Children. I work within BACP Ethical framework for good practice, that is, I abide by their code of ethics and values and adhere to the hours of continual professional development and supervision required for professional accreditation.

Research is a great way of contributing towards development of society. I have academic and clinical research experience in Addictions; Grief/Bereavement; ADHD; Mindfulness- Well-being; Eating-Disorders; Life-Span Development; Yoga a practice towards Higher levels of Conscientiousness and Emotional Intelligence.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a Psychologist BSc (Hons) and I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Registered (MBACP). I also hold Diplomas in Ericksonian Hypnotherapy and Life Coaching and NLP - Neuro-linguistic-programming.

I have lectured for Diplomas in Psychotherapeutic Counselling and currently I am doing research about different approaches to Consciousness - Higher levels of Consciousness, Spirituality and Transpersonal Psychology.

I have spend the last twelve years working as a Psychotherapist / Counsellor for primary and secondary setting. Those include, working in partnership with Mental Health Services NHS in a male prison; Two residentials for children - One for Children and Young people with attachment, emotional and mental health problems. And Other, for Homeless Adolescents and Young People, who have been placed in the residential because end of fostering, family breakdown,  addictions, behaviour misconduct and problematic Mental health Issues. I also have worked in a residential Rehab treatment Centre for all sorts of addictions and recovery.

I have worked many years as a Bereavement Counsellor with Children, Young People and Adults. I also have 13 years of experience as a Hypnotherapist and Life Coaching.

I have run courses and workshops in various subjects, such as Anxiety -Stress Management - Anger Management - Healthy Relationships - Depression - Self-Harm - Mindfulness - Trauma - Recovery - Communication Skills - Personality Disorders - Prevention in Alcoholism and addictions - Spirituality.

Additionally to talking therapy, I work with you  in a creative way - Holistic approach - by helping you to have a close look into your mental, physical, social , emotional, creative and intellectual needs in order to promote healing and growth. Techniques such as Mindfulness, breathing work and yoga somatic.

Currently I am working as a psychotherapist in partnership with FCT - Family Counselling Trust - working therapeutically with children, adolescents, young people and families - Somerset, Dorset and Wiltshire.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
