About me

I have over 33 years experience of supporting people with Complex needs both in the UK and beyond, I am a highly experienced  Trauma Therapist, using 'Somatic' and 'Internal Family Systems' strategies. I qualified over 12 years ago and over this time I have worked extensively with Adults, Young people and Families with Complex needs. I also work as a Supervisor and Educator supporting Therapeutic practitioners to develop their knowledge and skills within the Therapeutic field.

My service is based in Central london close to Monument and Liverpool street station and Chelmsford, less than 5 min walk from the centre of town and 10 min from the train station, with convenient local parking close by.

I am committed to supporting individuals in accessing strategies that will enable them to overcome challenges that they feel are impacting on their day to day lives. My service focuses on enabling individuals to develop emotional resilience and establish an environment of meaningful and lasting change.

The work that we do, we will do together, and I will support the empowerment and growth that you feel will best bring about the change that you want, whether your challenge is rooted in your relationships with Others, Yourself or Substance, My service will support you in stepping back and looking at where you are now, where you have been and where you would like to place yourself in the future.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Further information

I have experience of working in many fields of emotional growth and development both in the UK and Abroad, over this time I have focused on ensuring that Individuals feel empowered to develop skills that bring about change. I have managed and led teams of Therapeutic Practitioners supporting young people, and Adults as well as families with complex needs. I also work with an older population that have been impacted by Health event related Trauma and Bereavement, including the effect of COVID.

I recognise that Therapy is not for everyone, and sometimes all that we want is a space to explore thoughts and feelings that we find difficult or challenging. My service can offer you that safe space and support you to put things in place that assist you in making sense of a world that can at times feel just a bit overwhelming.
